    Good Points: LookReliability

Bad Points: HugeEat a lot of gas

General comments: I am a Frenchie born in Paris but got to Berkeley University for fun in the early 2000. I bought that Chevy K5 Blazer Silverado 1983 Black (top removable) for 2000$ to carry my windsurfer rig. Dude, even in California that truck was a monster. I brought in back in France, and after many adventures I still own it. Yersterday, I drove it 1000 km in a row after 4 years of inactivity without a single hoc and I must say, this is the best 4x4 America has ever made !!!! And the look is so monstrous

It is a great truck all over i take it off roading every weekend i can and hardly ever stuck with 33" tires and 4" suspension lisft it does me well only prob is that my enigne is junk and mostly likely because of previous owner had a fuel ingection systeme installed ever since i swapped engine and with the fuel injection it is a great 4x4 vehicle

My blazer is pretty damn nice. I wish it had the old body style where the top came off but people like it the way it is. It only has a three inch body with 33s on it but I would like to get a 14 inch suspension lift for it at BNC off road

I paid $800 for my Chevrolet K5 Blazer and I can't complain a bit. Ebay auction that went bad for the seller. It's so easy to get parts for it being that the body and interior was used on the blazer, jimmy, suburban, pick-up, etc.... for several years. If you get bored, just hit up a junkyard and upgrade something for next to nothing. I got it from a guy that only used it for wheeling and then let it sit for a year and a half outside his house. When I got it, it started right up and I drov ...

Overall, this Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 is quite possibly the best vehicle I've oved. It's an '88 that I picked up from a dealer for 3k, with only 57k on the odometer. I've driven it daily since purchase, and have yet to be let down. From the snowy mountains of PA to the muddy bayou's of Louisiana, the beast get's me there!

As a radio DJ, I use it to load up remote/promotional gear and have YET to have a problem carrying the gear.

I have had a lot of fun with my Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4. Mines a custom - I turned it into a permenant truck and it has a very short bed but she looks awsome. I took the topper off and removed the back seats then put the tailgate behind the driver/passenger seats and sealed it in with a custom back window. Then I added a 5 inch lift kit and some 42 inch tires! I love big trucks!

I have had my Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 for three years now and it is a HOSS!! It is my daily driver so it can get a little expensive due to gas. But that is because of the performance parts. If anybody is looking for a good truck both offroad and on I would recomend the k5 Blazer.

The Chevrolet K5 Blazer is my first truck and it does well on the road. I just got a 6 1/2 suspension lift and a 2 inch body and 44 bf all terrains. It is rubbish off road, it can't go through any mud.

    Chevrolet K5 Blazer:
There isnt many vehicles that can stand up to my 1986 K-5 Blazer, being the Silverado model it has everything. Growing up only minutes away from the Rubicon and places like Pyramid Lake I have had many opportunities to run it pretty hard. The wheel base approx. 6" shorter than the short box pickup and the difference in weight puts it in a class of its own. The availability of after market upgrades is endless. The Vehicle comes with many different options from the factory ...

I got my Chevrolet K5 Blazer for my first car, it seems like it is a pretty good car. I dont like how it doesnt start that well in the cold but after a little while its fine, I cant wait to see what it can do in some MUDD.

I'm the owner of a 1988 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, its my first truck. I have great times in my truck. The TBI 350 is a bit sluggish for now but I hope to upgrade to a new fuel injected manifold to increase power and performance. The truck is still at stock height with 31's. Its a great truck for my first.

This is not a review on any one Chevrolet K5 Blazer, or GMC Jimmy for that matter, it is based on all of them in a whole based on my personal experience with 3 of them starting with the begining, in 1995 by dad bought a then 10 year old 85 model with a 305 carb'd motor yes it was a dog but it was good offroading and in the snow, my brother then lifted the truck 6 inches and put 35 inch tires on it. It was a great truck until my dad wanted something smaller and got a toyota. Two years ago I bough ...
