It took ages to figure this sat nav out, because I couldn't believe there wasn't more to it. Then I realised how limited it was and I don't like it. The map is outdated, and I am reluctant to spend money downloading a map for France, as it seems a waste of money and we might just as well get a new sat nav. What a total waste of time ande money buying this. Shame on you Sony. (read more)

I have had this sat nav for 2 years and installed 1 update after 4 months, since then it has needed updating again but a friend had updated his 1 year ago and told me not to bother as it was still outdated for some local roads that we know have been completed at least 18 months. I have contacted Sony myself and they have now informed me that they will not be issuing anymore updates for this model. This is not what I expected from a company like Sony.

I cannot believe that I purchased one of these and the map was obsolete after only 6 months. Now you have to pay £50+ for a map update and even then it says available soon via DVD (no download from site). And even with the update there is no camera information.
Save your £50 as you can buy a basic level GPS that has all much more features (inc camera locations) for £15 to £20 more. (read more)

good fun for 50 percent of use, remainder a disaster..would not but
sony satnav again ,unless the have improved version nowmine is 2yrs
old,version for spain/portugal/andorra...uk version may be better (read more)

I would regard this as an entry level sat nav for people on a tight budget.
I would recommend spending a little more money and getting a more advanced sat nav with full postcode entry. (read more)
