Good Points: compact and robust-good manufactre quality-clear & easy to read screen.
Bad Points: No avoid unsealed roads tab-no 'voice named' street you are turning into.
General comments: I bought on Ebay-big mistake but you learn from them! I should have bought the Tom Tom GO 720 or similiar. Had already tried the Navman S35 7 Binatone 3.5" screen (cheap at $148AUD. The Navman was better (a bit faster) than the Road Angel and brand new! With warranty.

There are now better value products available. Not very user-friendly. Instruction manual poor. Many screens/options appear on display that aren't mentioned in manual at all!- Read Guest's review (31 words)

The Road Angel Navigator 6000 is not a bad unit to use, would have thought road angel would offer an upgrade option by trading in the unit you have to an updated model with maybe a small charge, especially for us customer who have had different units over the years and paid subscription fees for each one. Please consider this thought - Road Angel.- Read Guest's review (130 words)

The Road Angel Navigator 6000 appeared to be a decent sat nav initially, however, when driving to "known" locations which I knew to be quickest routes, the 6000 insisted on sending me the "taxi driver" route. The lack of UK road updates is pretty frustrating too eg the "NEW" stretch of A1 at Ferrybridge Services to Wetherby which has been open for almost 2 years yet still shows me driving through a field.
The speed camera updates, especially for speed camera vans also appear to be very dated. I ...- Read rafflesncle's review (265 words)

I chose the Road Angel Navigator 6000 because of the speed camera locations after getting 3 points from one of the things. If you were to use this purely for this purpose it is very good, bat as a sat nav, it is not. It has many peculiar irregularities.
It tries to make you do illegal U-Turns on dual carriageways.
I have had some very interesting journeys down farm tracks.
It seems to think that some roundabouts should be driven anti-clockwise.
It misses T-Junctions. This is alright if you know ...- Read Twigg1975's review (387 words)

Worked OK at the start but very quickly becomes useless. Does not work....does not charge, takes for ever to locate you on the map and freezes regularly.- Read ouce100's review (34 words)

After 13 months the Road Angel Navigator became very very slow to use. It ceased to be charged from the in car cable and once the internal battery had run down the unit was swithched on and off as the car ignition was turned on and off. Eventually the unit cleared all the bookmarks stored on its own! The technical help I received was a suggestion to charge the thing using the mains charger (which I was having to do anyway) and for the other problems return the unit for repair at a cost of £ ...- Read pore66's review (192 words)

The Road Angel Navigator 6000 is good value for money at about £150, but current Garmin and Tom Tom products outperform the Road Angel 6000.- Read milnet's review (58 words)

It was a toss up between the Navman F20 or the Road Angel. The Angel won based on the 2 products in 1 - if you know the route you are travelling, you don't need to use your sat nav. The Angel has a great mode to show you your current speed in very large numbers, alerts you to blackspots and congestion areas. All the alerts are announced by beeps and this can be annoying. Fortunately, these can be switched off.
It has a comprehensive menu system allowing many items to be on or off. It has a POI ...- Read simie32's review (214 words)
