Good Points: I bought the Shure E4 earbuds for the purpose of using as IN-EAR Monitors. I am a lead singer in a band and have been using floor monitors until I started researching In-ear Monitor systems. I bought the Galaxy Audio Wireless receiver instead of the Shure because it is much cheaper. The headphones that come with the Galaxy Audio are $20 pieces of poop. I knew I had to upgrade so I bought the Shure E4's after reading some positive reviews. Yes they are expensive $250CDN but after using the other headphones they are worth every penny. It is a long term investment for me. I could have gone for the E2s or E3's but the E4s have a better driver. they also have exterior noise cancellation.

General comments: Before I tried the Shure E4 Headphones as an In-ear monitor system I plugged them into my computer. I have a lot of music in loss-less conversion so it was a good test. I was impressed but for the price I wasn't blown away. I have read some reviews and people talking about lack of bass. Here is the trick: use the ear buds that go into your ear canal and push them in deep! I am listening to some Electro with kicking bass as I type and I almost feel high. It feels like there is a massive stereo in my head...yes...Ill be the guy dancing down the street to the party in my head.

Like I said, I tried the Galaxy Audio monitor headphones a couple times for my live performances and they work but I had no idea how good it could be. I have used these jamming 3 times so far and I can hear every nuance of my voice. I mix in the other instruments with my vocal level and it is so good I would never go back to floor monitors.
