Bad Points: No bad points like for me.
General comments: If you looking good mp3 player its for you. Everything is ok. Good quality of sound. 20 H life battery.
Good software, very easy sonicstage. If you have problem with this software, tray download version 4.3. High speed transfer music. A lot setups. You can search tracks by the album, artist.
Alphabetical searching out tracks. Good equalizer: jazz etc and customize. It is possible to adjust brightness of display. Very good look-design. Construction lasted.

The short life of the volume button is unacceptable and once is off it renders the whole player unusable unless you are willing to adjust the volume with a toothpick . The idea of converting mp3 files to atrac3 does not appeal to me at all due to loss of quality. And obviously the annoying and world-hated Sonic Stage software. After years of pain and irritation I find it personally satisfying that Sony's ATRAC3 and Sonic Stage is a failure and soon will be obsolete.

I'm on my second Sony MP3 player. I bought it as I didn't want to follow the crowd in getting an iPod and I don't regret it. It's a great little player - haven't had as many problems with the software as many people have although I do recognise it could be better.
The main issue I have is with the volume button - after a fair bit of use (around a year or so I guess) the one on my first player fell off so the only way I could alter the volume was via the remote control I was lucky enough to g ...

To start off with the sony NW-A1200 software is a joke. Its freezes whenever it feels like and the reset button is irritating to use. The screen is unreadable in natural sunlight and the graphics are rubbish.

I am not surprised that the Sony NW-A1200 is not in the MP3 top ten, despite the manufacturer's reputation for producing good quality electrical goods. The earphone design could be much better designed using more appropriate cable and the controls could be greatly simplified - what's wrong with an off button?

I got this player for christmas and it is fab! I had read reviews saying the software was creaky and difficult to use but I have so far manage to transfer 30 hours of play time problem free. The atrac file compression is also fab because you can fit so much more on your player - the file size of your track can be as little as 1.5mb as opposed to a 4.5mb mp3 so therefore you can fit 3-4 times as many tunes :-) This player looks fab and sounds great and is really easy to find your way around - S ...
