I will never buy an LG Product again. I am on my second LG LDS5811 diswasher which was replaced by the seller. The first one leaked and did not clean the dishes, the second one does not clean the dishes either. LG does not have Customer Service and I am tired of fighting with them. This has been the most frustrating experience I have had, it should be recalled. Will check reviews before I buy anything from now on.

The LG LDS5811 is a total waste of money.. Might as well skip putting dishes into dishwasher. They get a hand cleaning before being put into dishwasher , then still end up with the food residue on them in spite of having a service call when the machine basically quit functioning several months ago. Oh for a functioning reliable dishwasher. Nothing fancy. Just one that does the job. By the way, it is used, at the most, once a day. This model should never have hit the market.

I purchsed the LG LDS5811 dishwasher and fridge by LG based on Future Shops upsell. And I WILL NEVER BUY LG AGAIN. My dishwaher showed and LE error code and I now have pay almost $600
for a new motor pump assembly. The dishwasher is out of warranty for a 7 months and the unit cost me 1400.00.
LG customer service is a joke aslo, I have been waiting 4 days for both complaint and warranty departments to get back to me.

Lots of bad reviews here of the LG LDS5811, and justifiably so. I purchased the LDS5811 on 12/26/2005. Today (4/18/2009) it started leaking heavily from the door gasket......my Best Buy warranty expired 4 months ago......Darn. After reading all the various web postings on the unit, i decided to look at the dryer gasket, yup that has failed too, just waiting for it to begin leaking too. My expectation for a $900 appliance is that it will last 10 years minimum, realistically, I'd like to see 1 ...

After only two and half years with my LG LDS5811 dishwasher wire harness in door broke and part is no longer available! Seems to be a problem with a lot of customers and LG could care less

High end LG LDS5811 dishwasher. Paid about $1500. We were renovating so didn't get installed for about 3 months after purchase. Work a few days then started making noises. Not cleaning well. Could not get service repairman. Shop refused to take it back. Finally LG gets repairman to location. Says motor is not working and replaces. Problem persists. Repairman says discharge hose too low. We repair at our own cost and problem still not fixed. Third trip and now at end of warranty repairman notices ...

I wouldn't recommend this dishwasher (LG Model LDS5811ST). It just doesn't hold up. >After three years, failing with IE error. Replaced water inlet valve assembly and still getting IE error.

I purchased an LG LDS5811 dishwasher from Home Depot in 4/2006. I stopped working in the middle of 2007 and was determined to be due to a faulty control panel from a leaking gasket. Finally, after numerous calls to LG they eventually replaced the dishwasher altogether, Now the NEW unit make noise and will not dry dishes even with rinse aid. Once again I called LG and they refuse to cover under any warranty. I will absolutely REFUSE to purchase another LG product.

Bought the LG 7811 model in August 2005, (top of the line at Home Depot) and it basically worked until March of 2008, when after each 2 HR cycle the detergent cup still had between 20% and 70% spread between still in the cup, streaking down the inside of the door, and accumulated in the bottom ....dishes obviously are not clean since A. the detergent never fully disolved and did its job and B. the rinse cycle could not have possibly been effective with granulated detergent still present ...

We got and IE error after having the dishwasher for 3 years. IE is stressed motor error. Luckily my father is an electrician and we had LG send him a free control board (since that was still under warranty). We just replaced the control board and so far so good! So, don't waste $ on a repair man, just order a new control board and install it and you should be good to go!

The customer service department is poor. After this LG LDS5811 dishwasher, LG has lost me as a customer and i will never purchase another LG product. When you pay $700 for an appliance and it lasts less than 2 years before major repairs then I think there's something wrong.

Had the motor on my LG LDS5811 replaced about 3 months after purchase. Now...2 years later...motor is going again. Fortunately, they extended the parts warranty to 3 years for me. Doesn't seem to dry dishes properly anymore. I will never buy an LG home appliance ever, ever again!

I have experienced absolute and complete disappointment in the LG product and service. I purchased the dishwasher at Best Buy and was 1 week over the 30 day return policy and my pleas fell on deaf ears. I'm the mother of 6 children, work full time and not only do I not have the time to beg Best Buy and LG to help me with this piece of junk, but I don't have time to wash all the dishes. I will never buy LG or anything from Best Buy again.

I'm extremely disappointed with my LG LDS5811 dishwasher. Very difficult to load so dishes (especially glasses) will stand up; running times seem ridiculous: 'Normal Wash' cycle is 101-135 minutes. So much for trying to run two loads after an evening's dinner party! I have written to the company, and am feeling that I just hope this machine will die quickly!

This dishwasher has been a nightmare. It has completely destroyed the ceiling in the bedroom below it twice. It has done nothing but leak and LG failed to do something about it. The seals are deteriorating and leaving a gummy black residue on the dishes. It is only 1.5 years old. I am in the process of replacing it (at my own expense) and will never buy another LG product again. Their customer service was poor, unhelpful, unapologetic and nearly non-existant.

I will not purchase any LG products after this LG LDS5811 dishwasher, mainly because of their service. Life is NOT good with LG.

It is amazing that a product can have so many problems in such a short period of time. Contacted the local service company who is stuck trying to repair this and they don't even recommend anyone buying an LG product.
It is amazing that Home Depot even sells these pieces of junk!!!

I agree with what mkosacek's wrote about customer service.

I purchased a top of the line LG Dishwasher in August. Paid $700 for it. I wanted the quietest model available, and the LG LDS5811 was rated the best.

Within a few weeks I noticed a high pitched whistle. It is not really loud, but loud enough to drive you buggy. I tried to pass it off as my sensitivity or it needed breaking in, but it stayed the same. And I used to be a jet mechanic and rock enthusiast, and have lost 50% of my ...

Do NOT buy this LG LDS5811 dishwasher - LG service is horrible. This is a nice looking, quiet running dishwasher but now I'm sorry I bought it. I'm stuck with a $750 cabinet space filler.
