The Navman F20 is easy to use and good value, but as many other people have experienced, it no longer charges from the car....

First time with a stand alone sat nav as had in car ones before. I liked the Navman F20 but the same as a previous reviewer, it stopped taking a charge and wouldn't change options and then just died.

The Navman F20 satnav was looked after very well. Was never dropped or anything and it won't charge anymore for some reason.

Great build quality - a real solid feel to it and the totally flat back was ideal for sitting flush against the centre air-vents in my car. Its ease of use was a big bonus also - you could literally throw away the instruction manual after 5 mins. Replaced it for an updated model of another make and have regretted it since!
I bought a different make of sat nav because it was on offer and had more updates on camera locations and streets etc, but its given me no end of problems such as not detectin ...

I was very happy until the speaker failed, surfing the web it does not sound (excuse the pun) to be an unusual occurrance.
The satnav work still but the speaker or sound is a must, especially for safety camera update.

This is my 3rd sat nav device and I am already planning my 4th as this unit is useless. The vocal navigation doesn't always follow the map, on one occassion driving through Wales It said turn left and as I did it said turn right while the map showed the road going straight ahead. Have been taken down some unknown and unusable roads/lanes barely wide enough for a car, god help anyone pulling a caravan. Have used a Tom Tom previuosly which gave a better choice of route selection and roads to avoid ...

I used my Navma F20 only 10 times before a problem developed with the USB port and it would no longer charge from the car (a common problem with the F20). I sent it back for repair and it came back with the same fault, and now the unit is incapable of finding a satalite, despite having performed a factory re-set of the GPS. (hold down on/off button & menu button together to enter maintenance menu). It has now got to go back a second time for repair. Navman don't seem willing to replace it until ...

Have purchased three, a Navman 320 lasted about a year before the on/off switch broke. Replaced with F20 for my partner already been returned for a new mother board and a F30 which has been returned for repair and now won't charge and the traffic system refuses to work.

My Navman F20 does not work outside the main cities in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Pay a little more money and buy a better system.

I bought a Navman F20 not long after I bought my car last year. With many trips to Wales, Scotland and plenty of National Parks it made sense to have one of these sat navs to help me find places I've never been to.The first Navman F20 GPS I bought was through Amazon.co.uk. It was dead on arrival, so had to go back for a replacement (Amazon were great). The replacement was fine for about 5 months, before it stopped working while I was on holiday! Talk about lightning not striking twice!Inevitably, ...

I have a Navman F20 for about a year now, I also have a Garmin 760 but I find that the Navman F20 still a very useful sat nav.
Even though it does not have the features as the more expensive units I would not part with it. It is a well tested unit and I will always keep it as a back up.

I have had the Navman F20 sat nav for just over a year now and i have covered some 30,000 miles and this little beast has never got me lost! the fast find fuel station button has been a bit of a life saver a couple of times. I have now given this to my father in law who has found his tom tom a bit to complicated to use. I am upgrading to the S90i model.

If you get a Navman F20 as a present like I did, ask for the receipt and get a foot bath or something else. Charger point broke free. Rubbish at long distance stuff. Would NOT recommend.

I would buy their new sat nav systems, but their old ones are very hard to use.

The Navman F20 is really easy to use and read. The voice is clear. The price is reasonable and it performs as well as some of its higher priced competitors. On occasion it has directed me to a dead end and it has informed me that my destination is on the left, when in fact it is on the right. That said, I have never been lost! I would score this 9 out of 10.
