First time with a stand alone sat nav as had in car ones before. I liked the Navman F20 but the same as a previous reviewer, it stopped taking a charge and wouldn't change options and then just died. (read more)

The Navman F20 satnav was looked after very well. Was never dropped or anything and it won't charge anymore for some reason. (read more)

Great build quality - a real solid feel to it and the totally flat back was ideal for sitting flush against the centre air-vents in my car. Its ease of use was a big bonus also - you could literally throw away the instruction manual after 5 mins. Replaced it for an updated model of another make and have regretted it since!
I bought a different make of sat nav because it was on offer and had more updates on camera locations and streets etc, but its given me no end of problems such as not... (read more)

I was very happy until the speaker failed, surfing the web it does not sound (excuse the pun) to be an unusual occurrance.
The satnav work still but the speaker or sound is a must, especially for safety camera update. (read more)

This is my 3rd sat nav device and I am already planning my 4th as this unit is useless. The vocal navigation doesn't always follow the map, on one occassion driving through Wales It said turn left and as I did it said turn right while the map showed the road going straight ahead. Have been taken down some unknown and unusable roads/lanes barely wide enough for a car, god help anyone pulling a caravan. Have used a Tom Tom previuosly which gave a better choice of route selection and roads to... (read more)

I used my Navma F20 only 10 times before a problem developed with the USB port and it would no longer charge from the car (a common problem with the F20). I sent it back for repair and it came back with the same fault, and now the unit is incapable of finding a satalite, despite having performed a factory re-set of the GPS. (hold down on/off button & menu button together to enter maintenance menu). It has now got to go back a second time for repair. Navman don't seem willing to replace it... (read more)

Have purchased three, a Navman 320 lasted about a year before the on/off switch broke. Replaced with F20 for my partner already been returned for a new mother board and a F30 which has been returned for repair and now won't charge and the traffic system refuses to work. (read more)

I bought a Navman F20 not long after I bought my car last year. With many trips to Wales, Scotland and plenty of National Parks it made sense to have one of these sat navs to help me find places I've never been to.
The first Navman F20 GPS I bought was through Amazon.co.uk. It was dead on arrival, so had to go back for a replacement (Amazon were great).
The replacement was fine for about 5 months, before it stopped working while I was on holiday! Talk about lightning not striking... (read more)

I have a Navman F20 for about a year now, I also have a Garmin 760 but I find that the Navman F20 still a very useful sat nav.
Even though it does not have the features as the more expensive units I would not part with it. It is a well tested unit and I will always keep it as a back up. (read more)

I have had the Navman F20 sat nav for just over a year now and i have covered some 30,000 miles and this little beast has never got me lost! the fast find fuel station button has been a bit of a life saver a couple of times. I have now given this to my father in law who has found his tom tom a bit to complicated to use. I am upgrading to the S90i model. (read more)

The Navman F20 is really easy to use and read. The voice is clear. The price is reasonable and it performs as well as some of its higher priced competitors. On occasion it has directed me to a dead end and it has informed me that my destination is on the left, when in fact it is on the right. That said, I have never been lost! I would score this 9 out of 10. (read more)

Navman F20 is my first unit, and so far - it's been very good and useful.
It has a mode to search the map to find a destination, but I cant get the zoom to go in close to see the names of every street which means its use as a hand held map is poor.
I wouldn't recommend it against others as I don't have any, but neither would I say it's bad at all. Generally a fine unit - but next time I would want to try one in-store to see it's features. (read more)

I find the Navman F20 wonderful, i love the functionality of the device, ease of use compared to my old sat nav, and also i like all the prelisted points of interest for example i wanted to go to the Trafford Centre but did not know what road it was on, so simply typed trafford centre and hey presto directions are on screen and where perfect. I use it on all journeys that i am unfamiliar and use the bluetooth hands free accessory that i purchased for the device on every journey and find it... (read more)

I bought my system used it three times, then when I went to turn it on for the fourth time, it would not switch on unless you kept switching it on and off several times I presume something was not connecting correctly but really annoying after only three weeks of ownership.
My niece also bought one of the same model at the same time, and had to return hers as the connection on the side of the system had come loose so the system could not be charged. My sons also bought the same models one... (read more)

Was impressed at first, but as you come to grips with it you'll find you'll out-grow it in a week, and you'll be wanting more from it. After the problems I had I took it back to Halfords, who were not surprised and had told me I wasn't the first. I have now bought a Garmin Nuvi 310 and it far far better and there is a lot more detail to the mapping which the Navman F20 lacks big time. If you want a Sat-Nav that your only going to use on a Sunday and your over fifty its perfect. Buy it for... (read more)

I can't believe I've had the same Navman F20 as all the other F20 unit reviews around!
My benchmark is a Garmin Streetpilot i3 which I've been a user of for over a year but thought I would upgrade to a more up to date unit with extra features. Unfortunately, the F20 didn't fit that bill for me.
I found the maps to be very unclear and cluttered. It assigned the wrong house number to my home address which couldn't be changed and was just plain annoying. On a postcode search it wouldn't... (read more)

I was amazed at what you can get for so little! The Navman F20 is the cheapest unit but it doesn't skimp on quality, the screen is bright, instructions clear and the GPS quick and accurate. In fact the only things you don't get are all the features you would never use! I would recommend this device to all.

The Navman F20 simple to use and gives good directions - if you go off the route given it recalculates and does not keep chirping to turn around, If you drive on a new unlisted road it simply indicates where you are and posts a comment to drive to the nearest road. The 8 digit post code search also makes it better value than many others for more money. A really good entry level sat nav. (read more)
