The Palm TX Handheld has a typical palm setup, good selection of applications/facilities but after 18 months the screen does not calibrate properly and the left side is very awkward to use. I'm going to go either asus or hp when I replace it this year. This is the third palm device in ten years I've had trouble with. longevity is not a feature.
The system is fast and other than a few glitches when synchronising is good to use. Battery life seriously affected when Memory card added. Nice...

I still have my Palm TX until now. The good thing about it is the simplicity of its design and functionality. Of course, currently there are far more better designs than TX, but back then 2 yrs ago. This gadget rocks
Bad thing about it is it's battery life especially when using a Wifi or bluetooth function, it drains it easily.
Don't worry about rumors that TX's built-in battery is "no-good", I guess it is more reliable than commercial rechargeable batteries. I still have 'til now right?

Palm should make a newer model of the TX series adding various other support software already installed on the internal. Or the should encourage Customers to buy "the New TX" With Linux already installed, with the best selection of games ans softeare that most people are likely to use..
HOPE TO SEE IT!

I sent the Palm TX back to the company because my paper work did not give any other location nor was there a phone number to call. After 1 month and 19 days it was returned saying they did not accept unsolicited products. Even though it was their own. I dont feel they were helpful when it came down to my problem. Just sell the product and move on in my opinion. I should have listened to the people who wrote the reviews. Many seemed to have had the same experience of it not lasting but a... (read more)

Wi-fi internet and email are very good. They operate at roughly dial-up speed (limited by the processor speed I guess).
The "Document to Go" software provided free are MS Word/Excel compatible and work very well.
The MP3 software also included works perfectly.
For me one of the best features is that you can increase memory using an SD card.
Finally, as with all Palms, there is a vast choice of third party software available, some of the best being freeware.
This is an amazing piece of...

I got this as a present to replace my M500 and have been really pleased with it for nearly a year. I find the interface easy to use and it synching directly with Outlook is much better than needing extra software.Wi-Fi web browsing is reliable and connection through blue tooth/mobile phone GPRS is also easy.I also use an HP iPaq with work and the Palm wins hands down. I own a Palm TX and I have been using it for almost 8 months by now. I use it quite regularly everyday for organizing my stuff and sometimes playing a small game or reading news and ebooks. I can easily connect it to my PC at home and also at work to synchronize my documents.
I've tried quite a few handful of PDAs and the Palm OS is the way to go. Sure Dell has something like this but it is bulkier and built with the unreliable windows sytem. Sure the battery does die rather quickly but what...

The Palm TX Handheld is a great product to buy for every business person and student that needs there day organised and there work down outside of the working place. Plays videos which can be downloaded through the blazer program and can also play videos added through the computer.
