Good Points: Exellent organisation. best prices so far, best company i have ever seen well organised and quality staff

    Bad Points: Wet season,bad road,

General comments: We stayed at the Voyager beach resort between the 05.06.09 and 19.06.09.
Our cabin was a Superior sea view room which was money well spent !!!! The room consisted of a very large bed, fridge, tv, coffee making facilities, table and chairs , decent size bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space and a pull round mozzie net which was good as we experienced the drop down ones and didnt like them . Our view was stunning as we were overlooking the infinity pool and the indian ocean . How could you fault that????

The Hotel it self was amazing . The food had a good variety every day due to the ship theme. It "docked" in different ports around the world giving you a meals from china to lebanon ect ect. We visited the Smugglers cove restraunt and that is a must !!!! the food is stunning , its really intimate and the waiter was fab. All in all a really great night !!!!.

The staff from the restarunt & bars to the shop workers, reception and cleaners were all so kind and happy to speak to you which was really good. Every person you came across you got a warm JAMBO !!!!.

There were three swimming pools which were all fab and had their own unique qualities. The infinity pool was stunning . Such a perfect atmosphere for adults who just want to relax. You cant beat the view of the indian ocean from your sun lounger while being served whatever drink you want by the bar staff !!!! The bonus of this pool is the sea breeze aswel ,In that heat your gunna need it !!!!!! The only major down side is it doesnt get alot of sun. Dont get me wrong the area is drenched in golden rays. However, due to all the palm trees and bushes all the sunbeds end up in the shade after a a few hours so not great if you wanna tan all day.
The Fun pool does what it says on the tin . The animation team are amazing with both adults and kids alike. This was actually my favourite pool. I didnt get involved with them & neither did my partner , but i just found it so funny to watch all sorts having so much fun or making fools of themselves it was priceless and made the day go quicker. It does get noisey as you can appreciate but it never bothered us in the slightest. I found that it was the best pool for catching the sun . So if you would like to tan like mad head there !!!!!.You also get the waiter service here.

And finally the third pool (dont think it had a name ???). This was by the bar (cant remember the name sorry something like hakazi ???). You dont get served to the lounger as its right on the door step of the bar. The pool is a standard one pretty deep with loungers all around it. It gets really hot here also but the palm trees soon shade most parts over.
While we stayed at the voyger me and my partner did alot of the usual tourist things.
We did a 3 day Tsavo East & West safari which was OUT OF THIS WORLD !!!!, we did a half day tour of Mombasa including visiting the wood carving factory which is a must for everyone !!!. The skill on these people and to see them working is unbelivable, we spent a day on the dolphin dhow and swam with wild dolphins which was an experience to remember and finally plenty of scuba diving !!!!.
The Bucaneer diving school based at the Voyager is just under the funpool deck. The guys there are so good as instructors i would recommend them over and over again. I did my discover to scuba diving program with them which entailed some theory work and practice in the fun pool in the early morning then a reef dive later on with an instructor. I was really scared but the instructors were so good with me i really felt at ease. My partner is a qualified diver anyway and he went on numerous dives from the hotel and even got his reef qualification while he was out there. Top team and deffo worth a look into .
We also booked all our excursions through (bruno safaris). The experience we had with them were phenominal !!!! From the Tour guides to our drivers ect ( The owner ) organised everything to a see and made everything exceptional !!!. He even helped us out when he found out that manchester airport forgot to load my suitcase on the plane and took us shopping!!!.
The Only problems with the holiday i experienced was i didnt have a suitcase for the first 5 days and the fact that the wet season which is suppose to be april and may actualy hit when we arrived and is still doing so !!!! Even though i am the lightest i have ever been after a holiday ( hardly anyone had tans coming back on the flight) and all the problems i had at the start of my first week it was an amazing place to be and im so glad i didnt go to the usual british holiday spots !!!!!!

I had the time of my life and cant wait to go back and do everything again !!!.

Africa Safari is a fantastic way to see countries that are off the beaten track. Makes those tricky border crossings and language barriers much more berable. I had a great time in Africa, they made my trip very positive.

We have arrived back safely in the UK after an great week at the Voyager. We used Julius JT Safaris for our amazing safari to Shimba Hills and our fabulous trips to Mombasa and Haller Park.

Our guide spent the day with us,taking us around Mombasa and then to Haller Park.He was very friendly and as he chatted to us during the day,he was full on interesting information and made us feel very comfortable. We saw all the areas of Mombasa we wanted to visit and had plenty of time ,not feeling rushe ...

We went on a 3 day safari to Tsavo West & Amboseli, it was arranged through JT Safari's & would thoroughly recommend going with them instead of other well known tour operators. The price was very reasonable & the service was fantastic. Our driver was very good, very informative & he had a very good eye for spotting the animals. We arranged our trip with JT Safari's before we were on holiday & contacted our driver via email to arrange a meeting for when we were in Kenya, he was very responsive wi ...

We used JT Safaris on our Africa Safari to fly to the Masai Mara for 4 days / 3 nights, inclusive of a ballon trip. The whole experience was exhilarating and made effortless by all the staff. We had contacted then prior to departure and paid a small deposit on our trip. He was very professional and telephoned us on the day we arrived to arrange a meeting and finalise our plans. Everything we had asked for and could hope for was delivered. Be careful, as there is another Julius Safaris that ...

We chose African Safaris purely on views from other users, It was our 2nd time in Kenya and we felt we should use local businesses rather then the huge tour operators,
The company is very professional, prompt, always ready at the given time, helpful, answering all our questions,
We chose a 4 day safari and we asked for 2 lodges that we had stayed at before absolutely brilliant.

The game drives were amazing, I really think the driver thought we were kidding when we mentioned that we saw more ...

Jt Safaris operate from their office opposite the Neptune Village Paradise in Diani Beach about 40km south of Mombasa and gives a remarkable and quite unique safari experience. No pressure sales and works with you to maximise your perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity. Each party always has their own vehicle - so no fighting for a viewpoint and your own dedicated driver/guide. The vehicle was modern, clean, well maintained and re-stocked daily with a generous supply of ice chilled bottled wate ...

We were holidaying at Kole Kole on Diani Beach and discovered JT Safaris on Trip Advisor before we left and decided to go on a 3 day safari to Tsavo East and West, which turned out to be a most stimulating and exciting adventure.

We booked it direct over email from the UK and paid a deposit, we met up at Kole Kole the day before to finalise arrangements and everything went smoothly from there on.

our driver was very friendly and personable (and very punctual, which we were not! Sorry!) and wa ...

I used Julius Safaris (website: http://www.julius-safaris.com/ ). It was excellent. They have lots of contacts so you can do the safari you want, when you want. I found a lot of the package deals with holiday companies cram lots of people into a van and only leave on set dates for set times.

Julius can offer you a fully flexible service and specialises in private safaris so you can enjoy your own space and spend as much time as you want with the animals without being hurried along. My driver s ...

My wife and I travelled to Kenya for the first time 20 Dec. We took a Safari with JT Safaris, located opposite the Neptune Paradise Village, we booked a private safari for a fraction of the price. The staff were very helpful and on the morning of the safari we were met and introduced to our driver. We had an excellent safari, our driver informed us about the habits fo each animal, how they live, what they eat, pointed out tracks to us. Had we known how good the safari would be we would have book ...

Hi just returned from Mombasa and whilst there we went on a 3night/4day safari with www.wildlife-kenya.org and I cant praise them enough. The guide looked after us and he is very trustworthy, thoughtful and attentive. He upgraded us on 2 of the nights (at no extra cost) to the Serena lodges at Amboseli and Kilaguni, they were fantastic. He did this because he didn't want us to be disappointed when comparing our accommodation with the couple that we were sharing the jeep with on the safari!!. We ...

My husband and I visited Africa for the first time in August this year for our honeymoon. We were apprehensive at first, not knowing what to expect. We decided to go with Aim 4 Africa - a relatively new company based in UK but who have strong links in Kenya and Tanzania. They came well recommended by people who had been previously. We visited Maasai Mara, Samburu, Selous, Ruaha and Saadani over three weeks. Although we spent a minimum of 3 nights at each, we wished we could have stayed longer. ...

A great experience! We were twice in Kenya and we've had various safari experiences, but we really have to recommend Julius JT safaris! Having heard about Julius on internet, we decided to plan this years safari with him. He arranged for us two outstanding trips this year, perfectly corresponding to our special wishes. Best prices, absolutely fair treatment, plenty of information and superb service along with family atmosphere makes JT Safaris (www.julius-safaris.com) simply the best operator yo ...

My most important reasons for our decision to visit this beloved Kenya was that we wanted to go on the best safari we have been dreaming. So before leaving, we researched different safari operators by reading reviews, looking at their web sites and comparing safari prices. After reading some excellent reports we made our decision that it was JT SAFARIS the because even being based locally the was the best reviews from many people of different countries. It is run by a run by young Kenyan man ...

    Kenya Safari March 2007
In the Footsteps of Dariusdave Mombasa to The Masa Mara.

    Chapter 1

    Kutazama

We boarded the last flight out of Gatwick, it was snowing heavily, and the Artic blizzard enveloping London blew us south fast. We arrived an hour early at Moi International Airport.

Imagine less than 24 hours from London enjoying your own secluded paradise, standing in the warm double-decker pool gazing down at The Manolo River and looking across the valley to The Mwaluganje Elephan ...
