I wish I did not sign the contract with WorldPay. I was paying too much money for wireless rental equipment fee and wireless fee. The wireless terminal's connection was so bad and I always had to make customers wait until it get connected. Stupid 2 years contract. I will have to pay $300 to close my account but I found US Creditcard Service company who will not charge me for the wireless equipment and no contract fee. It was good lesson that I should never have signed the contract with... (read more)

Yes, we know our sales agents lie...so what, you are the dummies that sign a contract that tells you we can increase fees whenever we want...Guess what??? WE DO. Our investors want a return on their investments...duh. We actually had this conversation-We need to profit 20 million in the next 6 months. How can we do this? Let's add a new fee and tell everyone it's mandated by Visa. hahahaha. (read more)

The most fee laden of any merchant account companies I've ever dealt with. Four years of aggravation culminating with getting socked with a $495 "termination fee". Just because I did not request termination in the ONE month THEY deemed proper. If you value your sanity and cash, stay away from this poor excuse for a company. (read more)

WorldPay has been a total pain this last year. The rep that relentlessly persued my business never mentioned it was a 3 year contract. I was told I could cancel at anytime if I was not happy (he failed to mention the $495 cancellation fee). PCI is a national thing they can't control, but Worldpays monthly charge for it is double what my old processer charged. Then they have the nerve to charge a $69 fee in December for updates they did to software to be compliant to government reporting... (read more)

Worldpay is by far the worst processor I have dealt with for the following reasons... I own a couple of coffee houses. We switched to Worldpay because we had a lot of left over gift cards from a previous location. We have had nothing but headaches from the very beginning. First off, it took them over a month to get the gift cards sorted out. We had to talk to multiple representatives who all gave us a different answer. That is a minor issue compared to most though. Second, if you want... (read more)

A client of mine got setup on WP for their credit card processing for access to a site he had setup, and he had a lot of people purchasing access to. He had outgrown his current merchant account, which was working great, and so WP approved him of a higher amount per month. We were all set-- they had reviewed the site and approved it, they had gone through a rigorous process of approving him. So we 'Opened the doors', and people started coming and in a buying. Within a few hours my... (read more)

I am advising anyone who wishes to have a stress free transaction to avoid world pay! They tried 3 times to take money from a debit card I had online, and stated they could no obtain money from my account. My card had not expired, I had funds to cover the payment and my bank had not stopped the transaction. I changed the card and added my credit card. Later that day I decided to cancel the arrangement and go directly to the company. I had an email from world pay confirming my cancellation.... (read more)

So whats ten bucks no big deal, till the sixth month in the raise it to $19, a bit latter 24. When I talked them they admitted they made a mistake with there fees...also... (read more)

Just terrible. I made numerous requests for updating information by call and fax, which, however, was in vain. So, I had to keep the old business account that I wanted to close. At the time of request, I was told the cancellation fee is $95 but they withdrew $495 after three days. I made a call for the problem, but the customer representative... (read more)

WorldPay is a horrible company! First, the salesman wrote down all the wrong information about our check machine, so we had to wait for him to come back and redo the machine. This company has huge salesman turnover which results in terrible customer service, which results in you cancelling your account due to a lack of service, which results in RBS trying to enforce a $500 termination fee. RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN. They will put more effort into collecting on the cancellation fee, then they ever put into credit card servicing. (read more)

I signed with Worldpay for a 3 year contract that I expected to cost me $25 a month minimum since business has been slow. The cost with less than $100 in transactions was $46.78. I called and complained and they refunded $9.99 of the fee although I was told that $15.98 would be waived. The following month the fee was the same ($46.78) I called to cancel the service and was told it would cost $495 to cancel. Very bad company to do business with! I signed up with them about a year ago and no one ever mentioned that there is a three year contract with a $495.00 cancellation fee. When my business closed after a short period they harassed me non-stop to collect the $495.00 cancellation fee. No one at the company returned my call. Think twice before you sign on with WorldPay. Read the fine print because you may not like what is included.
We have a 3 year contract that was just about to end, but they automatically renewed without notifying us. We talked to them earlier this year and said we wanted to end the service as soon as the contract ends. They now say we were supposed to get a case number if we didn't want them to automatically renew. I feel that since that is their policy they should have given it to me then.

Ive been using Worldpay for just over 10 years and used to recommend them for taking online payments. However I've finally had enough - with their dated website and interface, high charges and ludicrous reserve requirements (more than the 6-month average transactions total that I have) and settlement times.
For online payments there are much cheaper options these days with better admin interfaces.

We've used RBS Worldpay for some ten years to process online payments from our company and until two years ago I recommended them to everyone. Then something changed. We've had botched upgrades, a botched re-brand (to include the hugely damaged brand RBS - who thought it was a good idea to add a brand name with all the value of British Leyland?) and changes that haven't been announced (like blocking java script). Changes invariably are delayed and when they do happen are poorly implemented.... (read more)

One word sums up Worldpay. "Incompetence."
If I'm allowed another, then throw in "Arrogance".
Since RBS took control of Worldpay, the quality of their service has seriously hit the skids. And believe me, it can only get worse.
We were effectively problem free with Worldpay for the year we have ben using them. Okay so their percentage charges on each card transaction are extortionate, okay so they make you wait 6 weeks before any card payment reaches your bank account, okay so their moto...

In the past Super-Grow used WorldPay for credit card transactions, but the cost was much to high and the service was quite poor. First, WorldPay's transaction fees are much higher compared to Paypal. Also WorldPay charges monthly fees while Paypal doesn't. Then WorldPay even charges more fees just to transfer money from your WorldPay account to your bank account; Paypal doesn't unless the amount transferred is very small and I've never had to pay any transfer fees. On top of that, since my... (read more)

I found this review very helpful because... I have had terrible problems with WorldPay in fact they wrote to us on a particular day and literally suspended all our revenue without explanation, consultation or warning. 6 weeks later WorldPay had £84,000 of our money and we had absolutely no idea why!
<br/>
<br/>We warned them that they were holding 100% of our revenue and they just were not interested!
<br/>
<br/>We went bust after 13 years of trading and I had to make our 26 staff redundant with 5 minutes notice!
<br/>
<br/>So they retained all our revenue and we actually went bust and guess what - after some 20 months they still have our money and no one has chargeback anything other than £700 in the first few months after we stopped trading because we did not deliver the goods sold on the last day of trading!
<br/>
<br/>Anyone else with a similar story????
