“Terminate Contract and Hold Funds!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 04/06/2019

I Honestly cannot believe that this company is allowed to operate. Having been with Worldpay for 6 months and having no issues with them prior to this, I was shocked when I received a email from them stating that I had to supply information regarding a transaction about a months ago, a transaction that was refunded due to the item the customer ordering being out of stock, we offered her a replacement which she said she didn't want and therefore refunded her (what you would generally do in my opinion, but not Worldpay's). So after supplying them promptly with all the info they asked for, I waited on there response. After speaking with a gentleman he said that he was satisfied with the info and was going to arrange for the hold to be lifted, it just had to be passed off by his supervisor. OK. Next thing another email, stating that my agreement had been terminated with 2 months notice and all funds would be held until the 2 months had passed!!! WHAT?? Worldpay do not support my business model?! So after having the correct information about my business from the very START Worldpay suddenly decide they do not support my business model and will continue to hold my funds for 2 months!!! Despicable, I have not broken their terms and conditions, they broke their terms and conditions when they allowed the account to be opened and process payments. Yet Now I am the one out of pocket to the tune of over £4000! I am currently seeking legal advice on this and also intend to lodge a compliant with the financial Omubudsman. Disgrace, AVOID this company at all costs, they will leave your business in tatters!!

“very poor service”

World pay requires you to use online website to view monthly statements but the site is always in repair as per representatives @ world pay. If you have gmail for email forget about getting emails from them. World pay wants to charge 30 dollars a month to send statement to you by mail which is ridiculous. Today on the phone for over an hour trying to get issue resolved and during this painful time I was disconnected not once but three times. No one there knows what they are doing their answer for everything is let me put you on a brief hold.

“WORST COMPANY! ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by rhonda125 on 30/01/2019

This company tries to make you think you are getting great rates but that is short lived. The minute they can the raise your rates they do and claim that it is all the credit card companies doing and they have no control. Told us there was no contract but when I went to cancel they said your under contract for another 2 years ... you signed a 3 year contract. The last straw was them all of a sudden charging an annual fee ... I was never EVER aware of an annual fee. I was never EVER notified that there was going to be an annual fee. Their customer service is the worst ... putting you on hold for very long periods of time because they are " checking " into your situation. Half the time I would get hung up on and have to call them back. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD! I would never recommend this company to anyone ... EVER!

I agree!!! Do not use World Pay!!! Was charged their yearly fee along with a fee for chargebacks....I don’t have chargebacks in my business....had to call recently because they were charging me $30 a month....they removed that. When I called to cancel, I asked for a partial refund on my yearly fees....they said they would only be She to do that if I continued doing business with them....that’s bull.

“Be careful of this company. they are ripping off...”

written by msun on 15/11/2017

Be careful of this company. they are ripping off small business. Withholding our fund permanently unreasonably. Have to go to court to claim it. Must check the contract before you sign up with them which their sales person often push you to sign without time to read carefully.

“Shocking!!!”

Do not touch this company with a ten foot barge pole. Fees are high, payment settlement times are not as they claim and when your contract comes to an end it is impossible to get these idiots to understand that you are now working with another provider and don't want their services. Having threatened me with "If you do not agree to renew in 24hours we will cancel the contract and suspend all payments" we found another provider (better all round) and four months on we are still being threatened over a contract that we DID NOT renew, and still receiving invoices despite seven assurances That we DO NOT have a contract with them. Oh , and LH, please don't bother telling me you have launched a Customer Complaint and give me a reference number as nothing ever happens - it's all for show!!! Shambolic Service.

“Hidden fees”

★☆☆☆☆

written by shak2016 on 06/03/2017

Every month they have a new fee with a different name. They charge you twice when you have your costumer return merchandise. The costumer service is 1 hours long wait each time. The most horrible merchant processor I ever deal with. Stay far far away from them.

“AVOID WORLDPAY”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ShaneTodd on 10/01/2017

Have just made a huge mistake by using Worldpay to pay my income tax to HMRC.Payment went through easily but it's been a few days now and I have no e-mail from HMRC to acknowledge receipt of my payment.Very scary to me because my tax bill was a huge amount to me and there is no way that I have the funds to pay it again. So I called HMRC and asked them to confirm receipt of my payment explaining that a lack of confirmation was making me very nervous.HMRC confirmed that they had no record of my payment and likely would not have a record for another week or so.Antiquated service, not suitable at all.Usually, when you pay somebody these days, you get an instant confirmation that the payment has been received by the end client. Also, can somebody please tell me who is profiteering from my payment? It came out of my account immediately but has not been passed on.

“Took my money despite turning my application down. ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by riverkey on 07/12/2016

Quite literally the worst customer service and worst company I have ever dealt with. I wish I had seen all the negative reviews before applying. I applied to use them and was turned down because I can’t display a contact number on my site. So I asked for them to close my application and moved on and didn’t give them a second thought. Then I found out they were still billing me, first £60 set up fee and then £15 a month. They didn’t set up anything and I didn’t/couldn’t use them for a single transaction. I was on hold for 2 hours before I could speak to someone about a refund and was refused. They hide behind red tape and use of words like ‘active’ and ‘complete’ when declining your request for a refund. To my mind my account is not active or complete until I can take payments. To their mind it is – they kept on saying it, that was their defence! I couldn’t even use their service because I was declined but it was still ‘set up’, ‘active’ and ‘complete’ in their eyes – lying, disreputable, charlatans. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Stick with paypal. Stick with anyone else. I can’t emphasise enough how stressful it is dealing with these people. They’re not interested in customer service, they just want your money.

“UNBELIEVEABLE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Duckworth141 on 20/08/2016

Just spent far too long trying to change my card details. This site just kept returning me to FAQ's. I was trying to give this company my money to be passed on for my insurance, which is really important. Why would any company trust them to collect money on their behalf. Dreadful. Seriously considered changing my Insurance company to one NOT connected to WorldPay. Have had to do all my policy again so that I can use PayPal.

“Do not trust them at all and Lied to me. ”

written by Robertsjp457 on 13/08/2016

Worst Company to deal with if you have a complaint. A chargeback query in my case according to Worldpay they did not receive a refund for a customer even though i sent 2 lLetters both with proof of refund both signed for with proof of delivery and who signed for it at Worldpay. Always going to get back to me No one ever does ! Passing the buck from one department to another and full of promises they do not deliver. I think its called sour grapes because i did not renew my contract with them and joined there competitors who are better, Cheaper and much more efficient by far.

“Hiddne fees”

★★☆☆☆

written by JordanStevenson on 12/07/2016

I've been using paypal for 6 years to process my payments on my ecommerce site. No issues. Then my website hosting company recommends Worldpay. I'm told there is a 2.4% processing fee. Great! I sign up and all's going well until now. Suddenly I'm hit with a £40 charge with no explanation. My business is only small and that charge has wiped out a whole months profit. So I've had to work a month for nothing! I contacted world pay and they told me to phone them. No one answers the phone.. Asked (by email) for my account to be closed. Fingers crossed that's the end of it. Avoid or at least check if there will be other costs on top of the processing fee..

“Beware of this Company”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Whiteheadre141 on 24/06/2016

Worst company I have ever dealt with in business. DO NOT sign up with them for credit card services! They will lie and then teat you like you are doing them a favor to allow them to abuse you. Stay way from them and realize there is NO customer service from them. Find another company to deal with. They will start off with a "good deal" for you and raise the fees astronomically. BEWARE and stay away!

“wow how many charges and log in detail !!!!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by AniyaWeaver on 09/06/2016

As a sole trader I was sold this product, with a 14 day cancellation option. I didnt get my terminal till day 15, guess what, i could not cancel (strange that). I got the special offers card, trust me you can go on the internet and get all the special offers yourself.I was sent 6 different letters, with different passwords, log ins and merchant account numbers, I didnt know what where or when they were all for, the customer service was no help.I now have another card payment option far better with another company (izettle). I am still paying £24 pm terminal rental, A £10 MINIMUM CHARGE, and a £7.50 online monthly fee, PLUS VAT. Also It became a joke with my customers as I would wander around terminal in the air looking for a signal. Stay clear.

“It gets worse ... Charges to receive my bill :-(”

★☆☆☆☆

written by webgeeze on 24/05/2016

I was originally a Cardsave customer who was absorbed by Worldpay. I am not a fan but as with all these things, it's a pain to move. I have stuck with it, as it works BUT I am looking around now because i can't bear to deal with a company who charges £4.99 just to be able to get my invoices! Shocking .... As from the end of May 2016, they are charging £4.99 for an account which simply allows businesses to obtain a copy of an invoice for their charges. These invoices cover the fee's they take for me to process credit and debit cards. I run a domain name, hosting and web design business and I bill clients on a recurring basis each month. It's not hard to provide a facility for my clients to access this data and it's not rocket science to send a basic invoice copy when the invoice is raised. However, Worldpay have got greedy and have seen a way to charge £60 per year for the benefit of getting your invoices from them. The rub... I bet, many businesses will do their paperwork once a quarter. These are bills which can just wait. They are auto deducted from my bank each month and I grab the invoices when it's VAT return time. Unless I pay Worldpay £4.99 per month, they will issue an invoice for my service and hold it for 7 days. After that, tough **** as it's gone. My only option is to pay extra for a paper invoice in the post or accept this rip off fee. Banks serve a purpose but they are leeches and this is just a scandalous way of getting a bit more money out of their clients. I just de-activated my account as I can't tolerate dealing with banks who are so willing to rip me off. where has the customer service gone??? shame on you worldpay.

The simple answer to this that it can`t. To a `company` like Worlpay/Streamline this would be unthinkable, devastating to their business. Such systems have multiple back ups, in the highly unlikely event of a system failure the back up kicks in seamlessly. I`m afraid you will find that these mystery `failures` are commonplace with them. also watch out for your annual card terminal `failure`, suggest you read the small print re this one..
