This is probably the worst vacuum cleaner you could buy. It overheats so much it might be good for heating your lunch. That's why I gave it one star, for versatility. The tube is always broken and makes you suspect it is blocked. Never buy this machine it is worse than useless . The design is nice but the machine is HEAVY and when I say it sucks , it doesn't if you know what I mean… Read Full Review

Horrible product! Worst problems- plastic bits keep breaking off. I have replaced the hose once and now the dust container won't come out because the plastic clip that locks it in place is broken off. Vacuum is now useless. Very messy job to clean the filter. I usually tap it against the step outside and clouds of dust fly in your face. I bought it because the idea of saving money on vacuum bags appealed to me - never again! I think the position of the retractable power cord is a design fault… Read Full Review

This machine is destined for the tip! Have persevered with it for more than a year. Now fed up with emptying the fiddly dust container every five minutes and dealing with a filter that has been specifically designed to clog up and to take at least an hour to clean. This machine is incapable of actually cleaning anything efficiently and even struggles with a cobweb! Don't do what I did and buy it because it is a Vax - read the reviews first, then avoid it like the plague. It will drive you… Read Full Review

Absolutely rubbish. Had problems with it since we bought it. Hardly picks up dirt, filters have to be cleaned every time I use it and even then the cleaning power doesn't improve. has a 5 year guarantee, but apparently that doesn't mean much because I'm having a war with them just to get them to check the machine.
According to their customer services, this is their best machine, and apparently they have no problems with it from customers! would hate to see their worst machine if this is their… Read Full Review

the claener is very good, the only problem is the hose clips break easily and you can't replace them, resulting in having to buy a hose at over £20 per time to replace a small plastic clip. have spoken to Vax about it, they don't want to know… Read Full Review

A very cumbersome cleaner that has hardly any suction for a 2400 motor when you put normal brushes on to it the only way it picks up is when you use tube attachment My one has just packed in 2 after the year guarantee has run out. It is also extremely heavy… Read Full Review

This is the worse vacuum ever, the first time I used it was great but from then on has got worse, it takes twice as long to vacuum a room (I should have kept with Henry) its useless, heavy, gets hot, has to be emptied regularly to keep any suction up. I am now looking for a new vacuum even though this is only two years old… Read Full Review

I keep cleaning the replaceable filter, but it does not stop it overheating and cutting out. Is there a second cleanable filter? I have been extremely disappointed with the cleaner… Read Full Review

Absolutely rubbish. On first use this hoover seems very good and powerfull but don't be fooled, within 2 uses the filter will be clogged and it will have lost virtually all suction. The filter is constantly blocked and a nightmare to clean… Read Full Review

The filter is terrible, constantly having to clean it out, wash it then wait for it to dry. So i tend to have two on the go, one in the wash and one in the machine. Suction last one hoover of the downstairs and only ever totally gets all the hairs off the carpet when the filter is brand new.
Would not recommend this to anyone. Filters aren't cheap either, by two new ones nearly every month and a half!!!… Read Full Review

Dissapointed in our Vax vo91. Hoover gets very hot after hoovering with it for only a short time, so I keep switching it off to give it time to cool down. When we first purchased the cleaner I thought that the suction was good, but I have noticed for some time now that it has lost the strong suction, and is'nt picking up enough. The hoover pipe has just split at the end and my husband has had to mend it.This is my first Vax hoover, and I wont buy Vax again due to being dissapointed with it… Read Full Review

i went for the vax v-091ps cylinder cleaner. used on and off for approx 3 months, (12 month warranty) found it to be getting very hot, loud, and failing to pick up.
returned it to argos today to be told that the argos rep would have to speak to a vax rep before he could rectify.
while he was on the phone with the cleaner running he completed a full parts filter and tube check. still no joy.
then the argos rep repeated to me what he was told by the vax rep, which was that, vax had found that if… Read Full Review

I Went For The VAX V-904PB £146.79 From Argos. 12 Month Warranty.
Within The The First 3 Months Of Use It Had Lost It's Power And Had Turned Very Loud.
Sticker On Handle (Do Not Return To Store Phone Vax).
Phoned Vax And Waited For My Turn To Speak And Found 13 Mins Later I Was Still 16 On A Waiting List To Speak To A Vax Rep.
Phoned Argos Instead And I Was Told To Return It To The Store, Which I Did.
I Was Informed By The Argos Rep As He Spoke To The Vax Rep Via Phone, That Vax Or Argos Could… Read Full Review

The VAX V-091 is a great vacuum to use, cleans effectively, turbo head does not clog or jam unlike my old vacuum. It also looks great I think and with the ease of use being a definitive 10/10 you just can't go wrong!… Read Full Review

My VAX V-091 looks nice but obviously has some design issues. It can't maintain its power. Others have obviously found this too when I see these reviews.
There is a sticker on the machine saying - don't send it back to the shop, call us (did they expect me to send it back?). I called VAX. They suggested I send it back to them for repair.
Since it was new I returned it to Comet for a refund. We had a cheap Philips vacuum for 10 years which did the job much better… Read Full Review

I bought this VAX V-091 Performance as my mother had had a vax for years, so thought i was buying a good value product. I have been so disappointed with my purchase. The shape of the hoover means it gets stuck on chair legs, sofas and door frames. The poor quality hose is too bend and now has unravelled from the handle, meaning it is broken after 1 year.
