After around 2.5years use, box failed to operate and appeared to be stuck in 'ready' position. Panasonic gave excellent advice via an 0800 number and a method to test remote and box. It appears the box will need to be replaced. Judging by the number of remotes offered for sale separately on eBay, this may not be quite so uncommon; in fact a reputable service agent explained that freeview boxes in general are sensitive and prone to 'blips' such as thunder storms whereas built into TV ones appear to fair better.

The Panasonic TU-CT41 is easy to use and fast when working . Overall, ok but a cheaper one is just as good.

Since my last review, I have replaced the faulty CT-41 with another.
<br/>This works just fine and the advantage of having a remote that will work with the CT20 and CT30 as well makes for convenience should the remote fail (rarely unless abused). Panasonic will repair a failed CT41 for less than £40 with P&P included. All digital boxes are not as good as built-in freeview units and I would like to re-rate this as 4 out of 5.
