“Best Newspaper by Far”

Written on: 26/09/2012 by davidlaw29 (4 reviews written)

The Guardian is and always will be my favourite newspaper, most especially due to the neutral views of the writers and editors. As a teacher, I need to locate the most upto date news regarding finance and other business related news, The Guardian always provides this, day in and day out. If you need informative, accurate and well balanced news, then the Guardian provides this. I have been buying this Newspaper for over 2 Decades and not once have I been disappointed. The price is fair, and... (read more)

“A guardian of the public”

Written on: 28/08/2012 by AmeenKhan (4 reviews written)

I am liking the guardian newspaper very much. I read it everyday at school [there is always a copy or two left in the staff room] and I am always impressed with the news coverage and the depth of the analysis which they undertake. I also like the fact that it is detached from the big global media giants who twist their editorials to suit their own political machinations. That is not to say that I agree with everything that they print. In fact some of their opinions challenge me at my very... (read more)

With so many newspapers around, The Guardian easily is the best. You get depth, quality, the columnist are brilliant and front different backgrounds which make it very rich and valuable on every read. Keep the good work!!! (read more)

If the Justice sector reccomend the Guardian to students of Justice, then they endorse its ethics within writing. It is an acceptable newspaper for research because it is held as being trustworthy. As a sceptic I have done a fair amount of research to allow me to be guided and say that it is a better (for me) newspaper than the Telegraph. (read more)

I can't believe how biased this newspaper is. I heard it was unbiased and a place for all opinions but it has a single agenda all the way through. It's basically a tabloid with less celebrities and more naive readers.

Written on: 29/04/2008

I find the The Guardian newspaper too selective about what news is included so as not to damage the delusion that a liberalized society, with poor standards in every aspect of life, is somehow a better place to live. The comments are also politically angled so as to disguise the truth. Either the reporters and columnists live in ivory towers or they simply refuse to accept the harsh reality of modern society and its declining standards.

For example, it was recently reported that recorded... (read more)

I like this paper as I would not read any of the tabloids but i think that papers such as The Independent are far to pompous and drag on far too much. This is a paper that prints all the important news you want to read but also other stories of interest and excellent case studies which other papers do not offer. (read more)

Written on: 29/10/2004 by cosmo

The Guardian is by far my favourite newspaper. I find their news coverage fair and rational and I suppose that, as I tend to agree with their liberal political bias and I would rather read a newspaper that doesn't enrage me, the Guardian is an obvious choice.

Coupled with this is the fact that their Saturday magazine section is by far the best with loads of detailed and in-depth articles ranging from cheesy Hollywood interviews to more political and topical issues and a whole host of... (read more)

I agree with the previous review. While it's not difficult to find a liberal newspaper, the Guardian doesn't try to hide its liberal bias, which is what I love. I also like the Washington Post and Newsweek Magazine.

The guardian is probably the best newspaper around for graduate jobs which is why I found myself buying it whilst still a student. However I've got to be honest, other than that I was not impressed. I'm a Times reader normally and dabble in the tabloids for amusement every now and then. The sport is one of the poorest going, they seem to want to over develop unimportant points whilst ignoring a lot of stories that other papers cover. The news is supposed to be 'what free thinkers... I agree, I think that the paper aims for what is important, but misses due to the poorly conceived accounts of reality of its writers and editors have. If only they could print a loo roll with their mast head on it! talk about a smear campaign!
