Visited restaurant for the first time on the 02.07.11 ordered spagetti vongole (pasta with baby clams)looked and tasted like pasta with tomatoe sauce not a clam in sight did query with the waiter who asked the chef his reply was the baby clams had been chopped why would you chop them so small so you couldn't see them the rest of the table had chicken dishes which were fine. We were sat near the sweets the cheese cake looked liked it was purchased from Iceland for a £1 therefore didn't partake (read more)

i came here on the 22 of feb 2010 after some of my friends had recommended it and said how it was a really nice traditional italian resturant. However i feel the experience was not as i had expected there was not much of an italian feel to the place and the food was average, although in fairness the food came pritty quick, the resurant itself is quite cold and i just didnt feel atall relaxed, the waiting staff their were very friendly and helpfull also they had a new waiter who had started... absolutely amazing, first time we have been since they relocated San Remo from the smaller place, we loved that place but it seems that the move has just made things even better.
The service was fantastic, the value for money was brilliant and the food was quite simply some of the best i have ever tasted!!
it wont be such a long time before we go back to San Remo, if you havent tried it do it soon. Only 5 stars to choose on the ratings, I would give it 6 if i could!! (read more)

We went to this restaurant at lunchtime to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant had a closed sign on the door, although it was open and it was a little cold on arrival. We ordered antipasto which took about half an hour to arrive and the main course followed fairly quickly. It was, however, very disappointing. Two of our party ordered Salmon Tagliatelli and they thought that the salmon had been purchased at Lidl a few doors away. It was very salty and definately not fresh salmon. Two... (read more)

I visited the San Remo for the first time on 13 Feb 2010 and had an excellent dining experience. The service was attentive but not in your face and the quality of the food was good. The restaurant was very busy that evening but we were not rushed and the staff were friendly. The menu offered a good selection of traditional italian food with specials of the day also available. The food was of high standard and was very good value for money. Overall it was a very pleasant evening and I am... (read more)

The staff are very polite and do as you ask.
I would recommend the ribs as the sauce is the best ive ever tasted.
They let youtake your food home if you have had enough, this way you get your moneys worth. Its a very clean and hyginic restaurant. The drinks and food are not too dear to break the bank.
If your in the area I would definatly check it out. (read more)

On prevuous occasions we have been extremely pleased with the service and food. For this reason I booked for my daughters birthday last night. The bad service completely ruined the evening and we will not be returning. I suppose the sign in the window asking for kitchen staff is an idicator as to the underlying cause of the poor service. 3 starters were ordered and only 2 arrived - the other one came a good five minutes later when chased. We also had to ask for plates to place the garlic... (read more)

I tried to book a table at San Remo, Denton for my wife and I on Saturday; we were unable to get anyone to answer the phone number posted on the restaurants website. We decided to go there in the hope of being able to reserve a table at some point that evening. Although the restaurant was almost empty (4 people) we stood at the door for an uncomfortable amount of time before any of the staff bothered to approach us. I asked "do you have a table for two" I was told in no uncertain terms... (read more)

Im crazy over italian food, but after eating at San Remo restaurant i was put off by the Chef screaming and shouting at a young lady in the kitchens. I would go again any day at any time. We went twice last week! Their pasta's are the best, my favourite ever. Peppercorn steak, the best steak my Dad's ever tasted. Pizza, my brother absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the waiters were friendly and there when you wanted them to be. It was also very good value for money. I shall definitely recommend San Remo restaurant to other people. (read more)

The food was great and fairly priced with a great range to choose from. However I found the waiter we had to be slow, which irritated me. It took him 20 minutes to serve drinks when we arrived, and we were one of two tables, in the end we went to the bar and he then apparently decided he would serve us. Unfortunately the waiter took it upon himself to be the entertainment for the evening, which was not required as we had our own. In conclusion great food but disappointing service. (read more)

San Remo is a cosy little restautant situated in the centre of Denton, The second you walk through the door you are greeted with open arms and the lush smell of Italian food. The owner / waiter (who is from Italy) is very friendly and a great character. The restaurant is decorated with photos and memorabilia from the owner's hometown in Italy.
The food is out of this world, choose from pasta, meat, fish or pizza, all are cooked to perfection. My personal favourite is the Garlic bread with... (read more)
