Good Points: NONE
Bad Points: Doesn't function after a few months
General comments: JVC had excellent quality products but unfortunately like all recent JVC products this one is badly built. Low quality component, would not load DVD, sometimes stops working altogheter and the next day would start working. I called the JVC support and they were very arrogant. I highly recommend getting a better quality brand than JVC.

JVC replaced machine twice while under warranty.
Once the warranty was up they did not want to do anything further, although all 3 DVD recorders I had from them had the same common fault.

My JVC DR M10 broke down after 8 months-- customer service was useless--eventually got it replaced but that continually flashes the loading sign and wont even switch off. has to be disconnected at mains. JVC did not want to know. I am now pursuing it again as I believe the model was withdrawn due to a construction fault.

I have owned my JVC DR M10 for a couple of years but it has been nothing but trouble. It has been repaired twice by the retailer and has now gone wrong again. It's just not worth repairing to be honest, because I am fairly confident that it will go wrong again. So it is about to be retired. It was expensive to buy and really not worth a penny. Steer clear!!

My JVC DR M10 DVD recorder kept showing 'loading' and would not function correctly - eventually was replaced by retailer. The replacement eventually went 'bang' and that was it! I got my money back. Don't buy this machine. Also, a JVC hifi I owned broke down after about three years and no one was able to get the parts to repair it.
I don't buy anything with JVC on it.

In 2.5 years of use this products needs a at least yearly "software update"
I currently run the last version, and still the thing ends every recording session at its own chosen moment, resulting in "loading" on the screen.
JVC has stopped production, because there is a heavy construction flaw in it and they cannot solve it!
Never buy this; You will regret it!

Had a JVC DR-M10 for 18 months and after the warranty had run out after 12 months it started playing up. I got a lot of crackling while recording and playing a DVD. My son had the same recorder just before i got mine and the same thing happened to his. It will cost £50 for some one to look at it. If you want a recorder to last longer than 18 months then do not buy this one.
