    Good Points: Economical, nippy, spacious, reliable and rather odd.


    Bad Points: Cheap interior, but what do you expect...


    General comments: The Daihatsu Charade 1.0 SE is a weird but wonderful little city car. More economical than a Prius, yet beats anything over thirty yards, which is very handy in town! Also, Tardis-like inside. I am 6 feet 6 inches and cannot even get in a Beetle, but this gives me bags of head and legroom. Last but not least, mine has never gone wrong.

    This Daihatsu Charade 1000cc Charade car is a total steal! OK, it has problems but then I challenge any person to find one that doesn't! The ride is smooth and comfortable. This car is probably one of the quickest on the road up to 40mph (I took on and beat a 2l Vectra off the lights the other day) and I have hit 115mph in it (slight slope on motorway), but it cruises happily at 80mph.
