Having followed their procedure correctly, I find I am too in a position where I am not having a satisfactory response to my claim. It appears to me that this company will look for any loophole possible to avoid setting a claim. If anyone were to take my advice, take insurance offered by the airtime providers. At least you will be guaranteed a fair service. It annoys me greatly to think of the amount of money I have shelled out (and continue to shell out) for a phone that I do not have - and there seems to be no recourse. I am going to follow their complaints procedure, as far as the ombudsman if I have to.

Talkcover looks good value for money but there is a reason. They dont pay out!
I have sent them over 10 emails now and have got no where.
The claims number is really expensive to ring.
They have messed me about so much.- Read Guest's review (42 words)

Talkcover, in my experience, will go to extraordinary lengths to avoid paying your genuine claim. I wouldn ' t deal with them again if you put a gun to my head.- Read hogweed's review (54 words)

Talkcover? Forget it. I made a perfectly reasonable claim for a lost phone and they wouldn't pay out. No response to appeals - someone's always going to 'ring you back' after 'looking into the case, but no-one ever does; complaints department - no response either. What a bunch of unprofessional cowboys. Oh, and in addition, despite saying they've sent policies and letters out, I've never had a thing through the post from them. You'd get better service from a bunch of chimpanzees.- Read Insurgent's review (86 words)

I don;t think they have a "Replacement as New" policy. Meaning they will try to fix your damaged phone or replace it with a second hand model rather than just give you a new one as most other insurers do at the same price.
They do not pay for couriers as most other insurers do at the same price. Instead they rely on the Royal Mail and YOU have to pay for postage.
Customer services are not very professional (They actually used 'txt' speak in letters to me)!
Customer services did not reply to a ...- Read Slunkie's review (138 words)

Tried taking out a business policy with TalkCover today. After completing the quote details online the page quoted and then asked me to call 0845 625 1035 and quote a reference number. Having tried this number I found it is out of service and a telco is attempting to sell the number.
Next I tried calling the 0871 222 1130 number their contact us page. The automated menu system said to select option 2 for sales, and upon selecting option 2 I was first put through to an ignorant male who told me ...- Read lostknight's review (246 words)

I bought two mobile phones today for my children and just accepted the insurance offered by Carphone Warehouse because I already have insurance with them. However I found the '£79 per phone per year a bit expensive so started looking on-line. Talkcover was one of the four or five I looked at and I believe it offers me the best deal - providing annual cover for all my phones.- Read braiths's review (84 words and 2 comments)

They were picked as they were the cheapest for my phone at the time, and when it came down to it they came through really well. I had a brand new unlocked replacement for my Sony Ericsson W810i in my hands less than 48 hours after I reported it stolen. Excellent service.- Read Paul Smithy's review (64 words)

We have insured all of our company phones and PDA's with talkcover.com. They gave us a bespoke policy and even insured our laptops.
We have already made one claim which they completed with 48 hours. We would highly recommend this company.- Read Anthony Inde's review (55 words)
