Good Points: Staff are nice, will help you out when asked. Planes are clean and of good quality.

Bad Points: Very fast turn around with flights. I was a little worried that after an 8 hour flight from Gold Coast to Osaka that the staff changed over, plane refuelled and we were off (no time for maintenance or the engines to cool!!)

General comments: I have flown Jetstar on serveral occassions between Brisbane and New Zealand, Gold Coast and Osaka and domestic flights. I am quite happy with the service and planes, lets face it you get what you pay for. I am happy with not being provided meals (I can always pack my own) and having minimal customer service. If I pay half (or less) than the major airlines airfares at least I can go somewhere that I might not be able to afford (we are a family of five).

At the checkin counter at Bangkok a sign said 'flight cancelled'. No other information, prior phone contact or explanantion. I paid out for another flight to make the connection ($400 AUD). After letters and emails I am now offered $130 Singapore in 2 months time, 3 months after the event. No interest in my circumstances costs at all. Avoid JetStar.

One of the wost airlines ever. You'll be lucky to find an employee let alone anyone to help you at the airport. The worst customer care and service I've ever seen and I'm a frequent traveler. They don't even publish a customer service phone number. You're told to "write a letter" and it's been over 3 months with no reply or refund for a ticket we purchased and we refused the seat when we arrived at the gate!

First flight got cancelled and we were only informed 1 hour before departure, with no solution as to how we were getting to our destination and the next flight they could fit us in was 3 days later with no guarantee and it would cost us $40 each to change over with no offer of a refund of our original fare or even a credit voucher... So we went on 2 trains, which took 26 hours and cost a fair bit of money. In my opinion they have poor customer satisfaction standards.

Flights attendents are cheerful, seats are comfortable. Only complain is the food, however, on a low fares airline, what do you expect?

Jetstar was one of the most uncomfortable flights I have had to experience. The plane was tiny for a 5 hour flight, An A320 -100 is not a regional aircraft and should not be used on flights more than 3 hrs, The seating was cramped, (i'm only 6ft) and I felt the staff did not inspire any confidence in flying conditions.

The inflight crew also turned the heating up way high on. Impossible as the space on the seats was truly dire. I would never fly Jetstar again and would adivse others to seek a ...

Just to clarify, we flew StarClass, which is a domestic Qantas Business Class seat, with close to Qantas international economy service. The JetStar flight left on time from Melbourne, at Honolulu the Qantas Club is woefully inadequate and the departure gate is a good 500 metres from the Qantas Club. Thinking back, the only good point is the cheap ticket and I suppose the Qantas Frequent Flyer points at Business Class rates.

Generally JetStar is well priced and the service is probably as good as you would expect anywhere in the world. The staff are friendly and the flights are usually on time.
