“Go outside of school holidays if you can”

Written on: 09/09/2014 by Angels Sin (82 reviews written)

I love this place, the building is stunning, clean and well laid out, but in the summer it can get extremely hot as there's no aircon. If you are going to see the dinosaurs go outside of the school holidays - I've been twice in the last few months (summer holidays) and there has been a huge queue for the dinosaur area so I didn't get to see that part. A few good cafes are scattered around the building along with some nice gift shops. If you don't want to eat here, there are plenty of cafes… Read Full Review

This is only a part review of the NHM, specifically regarding the current Wildlife Photography exhibition. The show has only just opened following the announcement of the results of the competition, and it runs through to April 2010.
I can fully recommend this to anyone that has an interest in the natural world, and an appreciation for the art of photography. Knowin the patience and dedication that many of the photographers displayed in gathering their images only adds to the impressive… Read Full Review

“The Natural History Museum makes a fantastic day out,...”

Written on: 10/04/2008 by PieDizzle (41 reviews written)

The Natural History Museum makes a fantastic day out, whilst entrance is free the cost of public transport for a family could add up. I wouldn't recommend driving here as parking is extremely scarce and expensive as in most areas of inner London. Also refreshments within the museum are very expensive, I ended up paying in excess of £25 for three sandwiches, a cake, a fruit salad and three drinks in the cafe whilst shelling out a further £10 for what was a bowl of cheap pasta in tomato sauce… Read Full Review

“My girlfriend convinced me to go to the Natural...”

Written on: 08/01/2004 by Roger L (27 reviews written)

My girlfriend convinced me to go to the Natural History museum in London in an attempt to impart some culture on me. I'm not really a museum person but thought i'd give it a go as it was free. There is some really quality stuff in there with everything from dinosaurs to rocks, Big trees to human evolution. The only down side really was the fact the place was crawling with children although i guess to most people that's not such a bad ting and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Well… Read Full Review
