  Good Points: Longetivity

  General comments: Well, I gave Chanel Allure Homme 2 marks for its longetivity. About 8-10 hours. But thats it. There is nothing else good about this fragrance in my opinion.
  
  After trying a sample, I found the dry-down was somewhat un-attractive, like they didn't blend very well together causing a discord. It could be just my skin chemistry - I don't know. But all the same, this fragrance is not one Ill be purchasing.

  I personally never thought much of Chanel as a brand in the first place. The Chanel fragrances for both men and women are very ordinary and boring in my opinion, and seem overpriced for what they are.
  
  Allure Homme is not exception. I feel this one is particularly bad. To me it smells like insect repellent - I had given it plenty of chance to dry down as well, and even tried it on tester cards and other peoples wrists, just in case it was anything to do with my own skin chemistry - but no.   Chanel has very few aftershaves for men - the choice is pretty poor. So I'm going to mark them down for that. Their should be more men's fragrances!
  
  Secondly they are very pricey.
  
  Anyway, Allure Homme:
  
  I usually don't mind woody fragrances but there was something I didn't like about this one and I don't know what it is. There are hints of tobacco in it as well which I find a bit strange.
  Unfortunately it is long lasting and it took me ages to get the smell off my sleeve where I sprayed it. ...

  Its not a bad smell. Its not for me but I imagine some people like it. Its very common smelling - smells too similar to other aftershaves and doesn't have a unique scent. Definately not worth the price which Chanel put on their products. You could probably get something smelling just as good for about half the price like diesel plus plus or versace blue jeans.

  Chanel Allure Homme just smells great overall, and it lasts well through the night. And like I said before, I can't go anywhere without receiving compliments. And the ladies really really love it! Haha.

  The true test of a good aftershave is the effect it has on the opposite sex. Chanel Allure scores full marks in this department.
  
  Not recommended for men with heart conditions.
