Good Points: Close to Oxford, huge camping shop on the doorstep, and plenty to do nearby, although more inner city than 'in a field'.
Bad Points: We were treated to a thoroughly nasty reception by the most unfriendly staff the CCC have shown me yet
General comments: Oxford Caravan & Camping Club is a smallish site with all the usual facilities, and no complaints as such.
We arrived unannounced, which is not usually a problem, and I had forgotten my membership card. I was told, quite brusquely, by the woman on reception, that despite my showing a photo-licence, membership number, Camper registration number and credit cards, all matching the details on the CCC Computer, that I would have to pay full price.
So much for 'The friendly club'. As I was about to turn around and drive home, the receptionist relented, while her partner proceeded to knock my new £36,000 Motorhome for being 'Front wheel drive', like nearly all are nowadays.
Not a bad site, but run by very wrong people. Never, ever again...
