General comments: I got the Graco Booster seat - Rugby, after I threw out the booster seat I had for my youngest a while back, thinking he had grown out of it! Then in September came this new law! I had to go and get a new one, which I now think just as well. I had been strapping him into an adult seat-belt in the back of the car. Although safe, he may not have been safe enough to prevent injury should I have been involved in an accident. My son is 8, so needed a group 3 booster seat. It would seem this new law meant lots of other parents were in the same boat which meant booster seats were flying out of the shops! Many were selling them fairly cheap at around £10, so there was really no excuse why anyone should complain at a new law protecting their children's safety. I found this Graco Booster Seat - Rugby, at Halfords for £19.99, sorry to have to admit I liked the colour of it as it went with my car! So I was prepared to pay a little more just for that! On looking more closely at this booster seat, it has a nice little slightly padded cushion and cup holders in either side which could also be used to put small toys. Apart from that it was surprisingly light, and as I sometimes need to drive other cars, was ideal for our needs, and we are very pleased with it. This booster seat is just a seat without a back on it, suitable for children weighing 15kg - 36kg. It just raises my son enough that he can sit comfortably and safely using a 3 point adult seat belt. I must say, he looks happier now he can see out of the windows easier. He looks much safer too. And I am happier in the knowledge that he is well protected and safely strapped in, should I ever be involved in an accident. I hope it never happens but like the old saying goes - better be safe than sorry.
