Even after cancelling our policy they are still rubbish. I told them that I couldn't find our insurance cert so they said they would send me a form to fill in to say so. I have, so far had 2 letters saying it's illegal to keep the certificate! Will ring them again. I regret so much taking out insurance with this company and NEVER will again, they are dreadful. The insurance might be the cheapest but if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

I took out car ins with Lloyds TSB in Nov 12. The requirement for NCD was buried in a "welcome letter" on their website. I read & printed off the cert of Motor Ins but did not read the any further detail. I am aware that NCD is a usual requirement when changing insurer but assumed in this day and age electronic checking btwn insurers would suffice (particularly as the old and new underwriter were the same Co - AXA) First I knew of an actual need for NCD evidence was a letter threatening to cancel my policy in 9 days if they did not receive NCD evidence. (no option to increase the premium)
After emails and fruitlesss discussions with their "call centre" I finally got a hard copy of my NCD which I scanned and sent off 24 hours before my ins was about to expire.
I was phoned the following day by a lady following up on my customer complaint who stated it was my fault for not reading in depth all the material on their website.
It will cost me in time and money to cancel but will never do business with this appalling organisation again

We took out our insurance with LLoyds who cancelled our policy over the Christmas period due to not receiving NCD even though we faxed and verbally gave the information to an advisor within the time frame. We had a receipt to prove that the NCD was received. They refused to acknowledge this and cancelled our policy regardless, We were left un-insured for a week without knowing as we only received a letter on 27th December ( held up in xmas post) to say our policy was cancelled due to not sending NCD!!!! After many calls had to take out a new policy and lost £65 due to their incompetence and they still would not accept they lost the NCD and did not act upon the information we gave. We will be going to the ombudsman with our complaint and watchdog. I just hope we don't need to make a claim on our policy I do not trust them one bit . Avoid this company. No stars.
