My wife was hit from behind by a young man insured with Axa at 3pm on a Sunday. At 1030 on the Monday morning I had a phone call from Axa accepting responsibility for the incident and in this phone call they arranged for my damaged car to be collected by a very reputable repairer and arranged a like for like hire car from Enterprise All this and I am not even insured with them. AXA's CONTINUED LIES, AND SUBSEQUENT COURT ACTION. AXA unlawfully debited my bank account with an insurance renewal, without my authority. They state they sent in total 4 emails and one SMS. My SMS phone log does not show their message received at all. I also never received any emails frOm them. I was tempted by the cheap policies and insured 2 cars and my house with AXA. Big mistake!! I had to make my first ever claim on my car policy after a driver almost hit me head on. From day one the whole experience has been dreadful and very stressful at times. My car was picked up the same day but took 8 weeks to have a relatively simple repair done. 9 months later AXA are really dragging their heels, they tell me they want to take the 3rd party to court. Please do not take a policy with Axa, read the reviews and take notice , I wouldn't have believed all the bad reviews , but what I have read over and over again is all true. I am a 51 yr old female with a clean licence , my parked car was reversed into by an 85 yr old man , I was his 3rd victim that day. Dont be fooled by the one star ive had to give, they are simply the worst excuse for an insurance company I have ever encountered. I wont bore you with the details but god help you if you need to make a claim - its really that bad. Every aspect of my claim has been a complete disaster- I have never had to make so many phone calls in my life. “AXA Trading as Swiftcover”

We had a car crash into us approximately 10 weeks ago. I had to make a claim on AXA due to a car rear ending my vehicle whilst I was parked. AXA managed to make me feel that the whole issue was my fault, and were "surprised" when I expressed my disappointment with their attitudes and poor service. “Truly disgusting company, appalling structure, STAY AWAY!”

After getting insured with said company, I was contacted a week later letting me know that I am now too young to be insured and will be charged a £125 admin fee to cancel my insurance. After trying to fight for the admin fee to not be taken out as it was there mistake, they cancelled all communication with me, deleted my account and have had no further contact with me. In February, another car hit mine in a car park and I reported it to AXA mentioning that CCTV covered the area and they should check it because while I had been manoeuvring I saw another car driving at high speed and had come to a complete stop so they hit me. This company is the worse ever was hit at back of car phone up and gave details of other car that hit us . “6 months and claim still not resolved”

After hitting a dog on a busy road, we were assured this claim would be straight through. We paid our £250 access and 6 months later we are still waiting on this getting sorted out. Hitting a dog you can claim of the dog owners (who admitted responsibility and gave over there details). I actually had to advise AXA NI on this. “Money Hungry with no sense of customer loyalty”

Having been a customer of AXA for many years I had no problem renewing my policy when they rang and was always courteous on the phone, but how things change. I had taken my car off the road, legally might I add with documentation and clearance. Because I let my policy lapse I was now considered high risk.
