I recently changed to AXA for better rates. Subsequently purchased a new car and had an at fault accident, after 20 years of no claims. Through my broker, Buckley Insurance, Toronto, AXA handled the claim efficiently, promptly and without incident, paid the $5,000 expense. I am a satisfied insured client.

I'm a 35 old driver and had my brand new car scrached while parking, although I had to pay more than 500$ (4 times the expected excess), AxA was asking to increase the renewal amount by more than 1000$
Note: the car repair costed them 1950$
Customer services attitude was very bad as well.

My experience was accident in February which I was not at fault the instant I reported the incident the claim was processed although brokers kept messing up with the details in the first couple weeks or so of making my claim after assessments were dealt with establishing my car was a right off AXA dealt with all claims swiftly including injury claims.
I have been with other companies before, AXA is the best for me good customer service all round.

I have spent hours on the phone telling person after person the details of my accident, nothing seems to have been recorded they ask the same questions again and again, excuses are given about computer problems, under writing problems etc.So far I have spoken to ten different people at both organisations, I do not recommend AXA nor the Caravan club for insurance.

I feel AXA only wants a profit, but cannot provide a satisfactory service, and seems disinterested in doing so. I had an appalling experience with them. Very hard to contact - took 2 hours to get through on my second day of trying to notify claim (shunt accident, my fault). Hard to understand call handler - could not answer all my questions and eventually hung up on me! Complaint to my broker got me through to someone in Ipswich who helped progress my claim. Then a battle with them to allow my c ...

I had a little difficulty with AXA car insurance in the past, regarding my policy and the premium I was paying, but my persistence paid off. Like all insurance companies AXA is reluctant to part with money, but I believe that in most cases it is a matter of what individual you are dealing with. The heads of the departments in Dublin are fantastic to deal with, and they will resolve any difficulty in a courteous, polite and professional manner. It is for this reason that I still use AXA car insur ...

I had my seven month old car damaged by a car pulling out into the side of it. Despite the other party admitting liability, AXA car insurance tried to get the cheapest possible repair done to my car. After it had been in the bodyshop for 4 weeks, the car was returned to me in a sorry state, with 11 major defects and paintwork that did not match. A further 2 weeks in the bodyshop and the car was returned with dents in the new quarter panel, patchy paintwork all round the car, dirt in the paint, 1 ...

All in all I had a very bad experience with AXA car insurance. I'm 47 and drive a modest car (group 8 insurance). I have 8 years no claims. Having been loyal to AXA for 5 years with no claims, I moved to a 'better' postcode. The extortionate (£700) premium remained the same. I then reported a claim when someone shunted me. Despite having forked out around £3,500 in premiums over the years, AXA seemed to do all in their power to make it a painful experience. I've now cancelled and gon ...
