“Outrageously bad service, organisation and communication.”

Without going into too much detail, my car was hit by another vehicle whose driver was totally at fault and admitted liability. I claimed via Axa as I would be the easiest route to getting the repair done. This was not the case. Axa have their normal customer service and a claims team, both have different phone numbers and opening times. They also do not talk to each other. “Terrible Customer Service”

I am unfortunate enough to have my car insurance with AXA. I was involved in a non-fault accident back in October 2015 - which has still not been resolved (9 months later, and counting...) To add insult to injury (excuse the pun) nobody EVER answers the phone, I can only get through via email as I happen to have the address of my claims advisor, when he eventually rings me back nothing further has been done with my claim. “Claims Management & Communication below acceptable...”

Axa has been the subject of a Customer Complaint for various service issues and as I am not remotely satisfied with its responses and ongoing service, this complaint has now gone to the Ombudsman. In the past few days Axa has breached one of the stipulations it must observe when dealing with the Ombudsman and that too has been escalated. Even Axa's leaflet giving guidance on how to complain, gives the wrong e-mail address for the Ombudsman. I believe this is a poor insurer with little… Read Full Review

“Never Again !!!”

Received renewal for car policy which said that I had 9 years NCD and protected no claims, however 3 days later my vehicle was hit by a traffic cone that fell ? from the back of a Highways Vehicle on the Motorway. An updated renewal the day after the claim said that I had 8 years NCD and my premium had shot up £200 (Protected NCD ?), I decided that I would shop around for a better quote and found one £300 cheaper so cancelled with AXA. I bought a car going by the insurance quote from this insurer, only to find once giving all my details and getting to the payment stage for it to be refused. All other quotes are far too expensive for me. Very unprofessional and wasted a lot of my time building up my hopes and then crushing them. “Outrageous Renewal Quotes ”

I CANNOT BELIEVE AXA Insurance (trading as Swiftcover). My car insurance renewal came through today.... last year £921 including breakdown cover, courtesy car, lost key, wrong fuel, personal injury, legal cover, protected no claims, etc . “BUYER BEWARE!”

Warning to AXA customers. If for any reason AXA decide to cancel your comprehensive policy and tell you that you have a period of third party cover, YOU DO NOT. What you are later told in writing is that they will cover the third party's expenses and then reclaim the full cost from you. This is not third party cover and could lead to financial ruin. I chose AXA as I thought with them being a household name they would be a decent company. I have had to deal with them once & they have been absolutely useless. “THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.”

I went to my local Axa car insurance shop, as I like to speak to humans. As he was ok, a fairly nice bloke, I went for car ins with Axa. He promised me the earth. He & Axa delivered nothing. “Avoid at all costs.”

Like others I am experiencing the same problems. Staff are not helpful at all.. They take my call, dont have a clue what is going on and then say they will get back to me via email or call but i get neither. I had my accident over 2 months ago and axa claim that they still have not heard anything from the other drivers company. Its been over 2 months and they are still awaiting a response. “What an experience”

Sadly, this is my review of services received from AXA. I tried tirelessly to resolve this issue, but as you can see if you view my video, nobody would listen. “AXE AXA - Complete rip off - Avoid at all costs!”

The quality of insurance cover only becomes evident during a claim. I find it hard to believe that anyone stays with Axa after making a claim. Vehicle accident - first in over 10 year! I live in Chelmsford but the only repair centre provided was over an hour drive away. Asked for a closer one and eight days later, after chasing a number of times they called to say they couldn't do closer. Just seen my phone bill!! Over £5 in call charges in two phone calls to buy my new car insurance from AXA. What a way to treat new customers!! I wish I'd read these other reviews. I had the misfortune to have a car policy with them. They sit on claims, don't reply to emails when I provide the info they ask for and are unable to accept any customer complaint 'cos I was insured through a broker. Best of all no-one at AXA will accept a formal complaint from me as "I'm not insured direct". Yet its their claims dept who is in corresponence with me and it is they who are sitting on it. I can only speak from my own experience. I was with Axa for 3 years and have only changed because I had a cheaper quote this year. I found them easy to contact and when I had a claim it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Firstly if you make a claim they sub out all the admin and assessment to Swift cover so you are paying Axa rates for budget customer care, if your car is newish and still under the manufacturers warranty they take an absolute age to give approval if you want to use an approved body shop instead of their own allocated repairer.
