Do Not, I repeat DO NOT go with this company. CSI Car Insurance customer service is non existent. I called them on the day my car was stolen and was advised a claims handler would call me back within 2 - 4 hours, no one did. i had to call and had a shouting match with some ignorant adviser who insisted in talking over me. I eventually managed to speak to a claims handler who promised to send out a claim form that day and never did. It took a week to get the claim form. Their claims department is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, unless you are enquiring about an existing claim, then they are only open Monday to Friday. I will not be renewing my insurance with CIS when it comes up for renewal. I sense this claim is going to drag on for some weeks, even though they intend to write oft the car, which was found by the police.

'Free courtesy car' screams all the literature. Yeah, IF they decide to repair your car. IF you use their 'approved' repairer. IF one is available. And ONLY while it is being repaired, not while you are being mucked about for days on end prior to getting the repair done - if you can get one done. So all that adds up to NO COURTESY CAR. As the repairers only want to make a load of money they will make up a quote for repair that is 4 or 5 times higher than it needs to be - end result, if it's an o ...

I was with a broker for 7 years and the premium didn't respect the car or length of NCB.
I went to the online quote and was quite amazed at the price quoted CIS Car Insurance.
I haven't had to make a claim as of yet, there again I haven't made a claim for over 10 years.
I got 65% NCB but had to send proof of this off.

Would not dream of recommending C.I.S. to any other party, in fact make a point of this to new driver's/friends and family who ask for recommendations. As I work in the car industry I will do my utmost to ensure that no one insures with CIS.
When claim was finally completed, and cheque was requested to be paid to a third party (this request was denied) leaving the claimant having to waste even more time repaying the debt owed to pay for the vehicle purchased in replacement of stolen vehicle!

CIS car insurance aware of a claim on the 3rd of December 2005, said they would be in touch. A week later there has been no contact. I got in touch with them to find out why there was a delay, and I was told that there was no record of the claim. I passed all the details to the Manchester office, including home and mobile numbers for contact. No contact over next 10 days. Phoned again to see if an assessor had been to see the vehicle and I was told no, but someone would go over in the next few d ...
