I can't diss rio lahr laser hair removal enough. It seems as though the scientists behind its creation didn't even put it to the test.

I used it for over a year with NO noticable hair reduction. It seems as though you also must burn-the-bejesus out of the hair to nuke it, otherwise it won't disappear/fall out after treatment.

It's also massively time-consuming - you must focus the beam on each individual hair - a real hinderance if you have a substantial number of hairs that need removing. Oh ...

I bought the single hair unit and the x20 unit. The Rio Lahr Laser Hair Removal System laser is obviously alot weaker than those at the salons and i personally don't think it is effective. The single hair unit is a waste of time and the x20 isn't big enough to cover larger areas.

I am fair skinned and have dark hair and i recommend putting the cost of these units into the salon treatments instead as they ARE effective. I had laser treatment afew years ago and then got pregnant, so stopped - nev ...

I disagree with all the other comments. I was quite nervous about using the Rio Lahr Laser Hair Removal System initially, but if you give it a chance and persist, it does work.

I did everything right, I was exactly the right skin type (pale with dark hair). I used it about 25 to 30 times and can honestly say not a single hair on the area I was treating was removed. Eventually I called the customer care line.

I have used the Rio Laser Hair removal machine for about 8 months and can honestly say that I would NOT recommend anyone wasting their money on it. I persevered and achieved ZERO results (may possibly have seen an increase in hair growth in underarms!) I have fair skin and dark hairs so supposedly ideal - it cost me £165.00 so I have just returned it to the place of purchase (MAKRO) for a full refund.

Have 2 Rio LAHS: Single Point ( £100) & latest x60 scanning system ( £300). Bought the x60 expecting it to work & faster. Skin contact points too far apart, and wide flat face means use limited to flat(ish) areas. Scanning system only rotates the laser around 2/3 of the window area, and erratically so. Window area 1 x 1.3 cms is fragile. Suggests poor quality control and cheap manufacture. "The head needs redesigning and and the scanning mechanism control improved". Smell of burning ...

The simple model which treat single hairs is not good. I am curious how the more expensive model works (the one for £200).
I could't give back to Argos because they not accept it.

In my opinion it s a waste of money....Burn the hairs instead to destroy it.. make your skin red.

I have had the RIO LAHR Laser Hair Removal System for a week. It is painless to use, and it seems to work fine, but hair doesn't fall out!

Have used it for a while now. Not a single hair lost. It's also really difficult to use. It's a hair by hair treatment, and you have to line the laser up precisely. I've had it too long to get my money back, so don't make my mistake. Give this product a miss.
