This is appalling ; messy; confused! Previous Birmingham Midshires Internet Banking site was easy to use. This doesn't recognise my username which I know to be correct. Wouldn't give it even one star but there is no such option

Several times I haver tried to log in to my Birmingham Midshires Internet Banking account. Each time I have been told my user name is not recognised. I telephoned, obtained confirmation by letter that the user name was correct; still cannot log in. This of course renders the site useless.

We purchased a one year bond, but the money was put instead in a lower interest account. After several letters and phone calls, it was transfered to the required bond.
When the bond matured, we had to chase them to get our money back, and when it arrived, we received less interest than we were entitled to. After weeks of chasing we eventually served a County Court summons, and only then did we receive the balance.

I have had no problems using the internet account and found it quick and straightforward, until today.
I await a phone call to explain what has happened and how to proceed. I have found the whole experience frustrating.

Agree with reviewers to date, very user-unfriendly, assumption of computer literacy - just because you've got one doesn't mean you are a whizz! Had to inform call centre that I could transfer from one account to another after he kept insisting I couldn't. Very tempting to cut and run - I have had an account with this Building Society, under it's different names since about 1945 - never known such poor admin.
The good rate on their e-savings account is all that is stopping me from moving my savin ...

I received through the post information about a fixed rate bond. I have not been able to find out how I can invest in one of these bonds. When sending out information about your products it would be helpful to clearly state how to invest in them. I find it frustrating to have to telephone and most of the time the lines are busy or go onto the web. I don't always have access to the web.

I have been trying to access my Birmingham Midshires Internet Banking account on line all day 20th April and it still is not operational at 8.50am on 21st. When I phone the number I am told to phone it says that there is such a long queue of people waiting that I might like to try another time .... BUT I have now been waiting over 24 hours ... I wanted to put money into my account too. So, maybe I will switch and put my money elsewhere.

I have been trying to access my account for over an hour and am thoroughly confused by the Birmingham Midshires Internet Banking www.askBM.co.uk system. It is most user unfriendly. My problem is I have forgotten my password and I have not seen how I can resolve this by the guidelines provided by the system. I will now use the telephone which I would rather avoid.

I've found that Birmingham Midshires phone banking is not for me as I like to have my money in writing and B.M. don't give this freely, internet banking is best as you don't have to keep trying to get through on the phone, which is costing you time and money.

It must be better to save with a local internet account like Birmingham Midshires Internet Banking where you can go into the local bank to sort out this kind of trouble of access.
