Good Points: Decent ATM Network within India, including smaller cities.
Bad Points: USELESS and hopeless NRI Customer Service. Waste of Time dealing with NRI Toll Free Number, which gets routed to a Call Center, who can see/verify your secure personal data, but cannot help beyond logging a ticket on your behalf. Cannot talk to a Person, who can actually look into the problem or provide meaningful customer service. Unacceptable Problem resolution turnaround time - takes about 3 days to reset your account to use the same password. New Password is mailed to your mailing address on file, which takes about 7 to 10 business days.
General comments: 1. The default password in the NRI welcome kit was invalid/expired, rendering my account inactive/disabled.
2. Had to request for reset of password, for no fault of mine, which took about 10 days to arrive, after frantic calls to NRI customer service, who kept on giving a robotic response about the status of the trouble ticket.
3. Browser Support: Understood from the customer service, the ICICI Web site can handle only requests from IE (Internet Explorer), does not behave well with Firefox. But when accessed from Firefox, no warning or mesg. about the Browser Support is given/displayed.
4. Every time, you call their NRI Customer Service, they ask all of your personal data and verify it before responding, but they cannot help you beyond that, other than sending a request to their back-office customer service, which takes about 2 to 3 days.
5. Money Transfer (using ACH debit), took about 5 business days, before they attempted to debit my US account. During that time, you will not be able to cancel, change or obtain any status information on the request. Finally I had to fake an Insufficient Balance on my US account to prevent the ACH debit.
5. Global Banking Mantra with Inferior/below-par customer service, but they charge like a Foreign Bank.
6. I requested a cheque book for my Joint Account Holder - Resident Indian on my NRO account, through their Secure Email facility. I even had to verify the Joint AC holder's Indian Address and after a few days, a cheque book was mailed to my US Address - A Complete Idiotic operational procedure. When I asked the question to the NRI Services Manager using their Secure Mail, I am yet to get any response still - 3 months as of today.
7. MY ADVICE: STAY AWAY FROM ICICI - NRI Banking Products. At least, if you are in India, you can to a nearest branch and try to get some response. While you are away, you are at the mercy of the Toll Free Line. They do have an Office in the US, but their phone number is not listed and there is no way to contact them other than by snail mail.
8. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT WORTH THE TIME SPENDING with (Yes, the call center guys don't care - NO mechanism to report/complain or escalate the Problems - They simply act as an ANSWERING SERVICE having access to your PERSONAL DATA.

After a month setting up an account, find my first transfer impossible, and no answers to e-mailed questions. Hopeless - the worst internet account I have ever dealt with. I am now withdrawing my initial deposit and closing the account. I hope I don't have too much trouble doing that.

Took 14 days to get anew password. Have been with them 4 months and only tried to access my account twice. Each time couldn't get in. Hence the need to get new password twice. Even after getting a new password it doesn't allow you access immediately (3 times failing and your new password is invalid )
Last time I spoke to ICICI Internet Banking www.icicibank.com on their help line before using my new password for 3rd. time. Gained access and then it is mandatory to change the new password for one ...

Overall good services of banking, good and harsh free behaviour of the officials with bank customers. A trusted internet banking, genuine rate of interest on saving accounts, fast and right banking service, good behaviour of the officials with the coming custers at every branch.

I am not able to login in ICICIBANK.cim to their official web site past one week. Whwnever I called to customer care they are saying it is down and try after 30minutes. Really, it is a hopeless situation. They claimed that they are second largest bank and this is an example of their customer care service.They need to revive their whole system.Otherwise will loose the customer.

I-bank ebanking has really made life easy, especially fund transfers and bill payments options are secure and safe, as well as easy to use too. Taking out a statement is also an easy step. It's been more than 9 months since I've last visited a bank for any transactions, thanks to ICICI Internet Banking.

I have been asking ICICI Internet Banking for a password reset for the past 2 months. I tried through the internet, logged in the request, but they took 15 long days to send the password, with the courier who couldn't find me (don't know why), and they gave it back to the bank. The bank was happily sitting, waiting for my complaint call. When asked, they gave me the bill number of the courier which they sent, proving that they had sent it.
