    Good Points: Inexpensive
    Easy to use
    Sole plate is smooth


    Bad Points: Cable too short (just 2M)
    Heat seems to be variable and never quite hot enough
    It can drip 'unsteamed water' onto garments


    General comments: The Tefal 4177014P Ultraglide Diffusion 70 Steam Iron was cheap, so maybe I should expect it to 'not be the best'.

    My main concern is the heat gauge, and it doesn't seem to deliver the expected heat, as it is never quite hot enough. It was sent back to Tefal to check for a fault, but it came back, and it appears to function exactly as it did before it went.

    This is not an iron for someone who likes to get the best out of their ironing, but you can get by with it.
