Good Points: I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It is also funny. Vinnie Jones is exceptional.
Bad Points: It was boring in some places.
General comments: They had a striker that weren't all there. Football player that sees red and charges at them, it reminds me of me in my youth.

This entertaining film defies many people's low expectations due to a impressive and versatile performance from Vinnie Jones and a storyline that could easily have been far fetched and predictable, but manages to be gritty, funny and contain the odd twist.
The notorious Mr Jones stars as Danny, a former England football captain who gets jailed but eventually becomes a hero in prison by uniting the splendid array of fellow cons and inspiring them to victory in a match against the guards.

This inspiring film is an absolutly brilliant example of the works of Vinnie Jones, with its action packed jokes & jives Mean Machine is a must see! Vinnie Jones at his best in a prison of hard nosed criminals brings pride and a small piece of fulfillment to the lives of hardened criminals all across the country who before had nothing! he gave up everything they could dream of but then brought back something in to the hearts of each & every one of them.
