    Good Points: It's in Saas Fee. Seems fairly clean & modern.


    Bad Points: Booked into a hotel called the Garni Gletscherblick (by the swiss travel centre) which doesn't exist, having been renamed quite a long time ago to the Alpenperle.We had booked a twin room, but were given a single room with an additional kids bed in it! After more than a little discussion, they gave us a room in a nearby property called the Chalet des Alpes which was ok, if dark (north side, partially sunk into ground).Minimal buffet breakfast, but decent quality.


    General comments: Yes, there is a restaurant and bar (Alp Hitta) just next to the hotel, but full of sad types that sit there smoking for hours on end. Hotel itself is more than a short walk into Saas Fee. A bus runs but is often full of skiers/snowboarders.

    Saas Fee is incredibly pretty, and Alpenperle is in the nicest part of it. It's on the edge of the village away from the noisy bars, but only a short walk to them when you need a drink. The hotel is kept spotless, with very comfortable rooms. We had a balcony with a great view. There is a also a cosy restaurant and bar (Alp Hitta) just next to the hotel.

    Saas Fee is a great place for a break. The glacier means you can ski all year round, and there's lots of entertainment in the village. Late ...
