Had this reel a few years now just for fishing in the close season while rivers are out of bounds, i have found it to be a very smooth caster and reliable, also has good line lay, highly recommended. (read more)

I got two of these reels and they have only been on 6 fishing trips and one of the reels are striped and the other is noisy ,I belong to a fishing unoin and all the guys fishing with these reels are complainning ,Need spares and no one can help !!! (read more)

Great value for money, its ergonomic handle makes reeling very confortable coupled with the smothness of the reels makes it a perfect addition to anyones tackle box. the Line lay is The best line lay i've ever had, goes on and peels off beautifully makes casting a joy. (read more)

The Shimano Baitrunner 10000 XTE is a really good fishing reel. I got it recently and loved using it. You get very smooth reeling. Its also got a great baitrunner and drag adjustment system. I do think its uite expensive but you get what you pay for. (read more)

Bought 2 reels i thought i was buying a good reel because i paid big money for them i used them for throuling for bass ive caught 6 bass. 1 reel has stopped working and the other has a knock on i it the same happened the first one before it stopped i would never again buy a shimano (read more)

If you want a 100% workhorse off a reel then get a shimano 10000 xte. I have had several 50lb plus carp from France and I noticed that 9 out of 10 people fishing dreamlakes had one. (read more)
