Like the curate's egg, my experience of Ebuyer was "good in parts"! Ebuyer seem to have an issue with some individual item weights, which consequently throw out the overall cart weight and the price options for delivery. “They fixed my problem!”

I ordered a TV with next day delivery yesterday, promptly got ilthis morning and was shocked to discover a crack on the screen and the screen had come out of the tv at the top with a dent on the back. “So they sent out my server which was estimated to be...”

So they sent out my server which was estimated to be delivered on the 8th of March. It never showed up! So I try tracking my item only to find out Yodel have "lost" it and nothing can be done until it is found. So two days later I find out that Yodel have sent it back to eBuyer, but eBuyer may never receive it as it is "lost". Looks like the Yodel delivery man has a new shiney server to play with. “Slow is the word”

Not up with the tempo of many other outlets of this nature. Their declared delivery status and actual tracking status don't match in their favour. Best website and ordering system on net but avoid using the search facility as it really is pretty useless. When searching for an outdoor wireless antenna, the search facility returned a wireless point that not only lacked an antenna but also needs a £2500 controller for it to work which wasn't made clear on the page. “Excellent products and staff - not good on web site.”

I purchase IT for about 30 companies. Every time i order anything for 'next day deliver' there is always a problem, which i only find out when the delivery has not arrived. If there is a problem on the web site NO ONE TELLS YOU. I spoke to a very helpfull member of the staff who sorted the problems and my goods arrived the next day. “Delivery length”

I can't properly review yet as I haven't received the goods but, I ordered, 2 days later received an email saying goods had been dispatched but quoting a delivery date 10 days later. Whatever delivery method takes this long! Hi - I managed today to work out the enotes - you need to login - then click on view all enotes - this gives you an option for customer support

They say 48hour turn around but I got a answer with a few hours - not that it helped in any way, and they have not replied to my reply - but it's worth a go for you

They appear to contract out there deliveries and is maybe 10 days as they don't appear to deliver much over the festive period (based on my conversations with them today)

Hope this helps a bit

This is exactly my point - you've ripped me off to the tune of hundreds, if not thousands of pounds over the years by unfair delivery charges simply because of my postcode (which is Scottish Highlands, not Islands, not offshore in any way but part of mainland Britain.) As plenty of other suppliers manage to offer decent prices and non-discriminatory free delivery, you've lost my business.

I apologise for the problems you have encountered when purchasing through Ebuyer.

When a payment is processed through Paypal they do their own security checks which usually process straight away, however it can take up to 48 hours until we receive the payment from Paypal. Unfortunately, we can not dispatch an order until the payment has been received.

For security reasons, we do not receive information from Paypal of the security checks as this is between them and their customer. We are therefore unable to advise on their behalf what is holding up the payment.

You are right: I should add "don't use PayPal on ebuyer" to this review.

My particular issue in this case related to using PayPal (which I won't be doing again). Unfortunately, this reflects badly on you when you recommend PayPal but fail to warn customers before they purchase.

The negative feeling I currently have (alongside many years of ups and downs with ebuyer,) is down to communication:
- don't beleive the "order in the next xx hours for delivery tomorrow" written on every page: that this is not true if you pay with PayPal.
- the system does not update when the dispatch deadline is missed.
- there are no notifications that the deadline has been missed.
- don't expect any apologies (apparently *I* should have realised that it wasn't going to arrive that day!)

However, in general, the range of goods is excellent, and the prices are good value, as long as you don't get caught out by the occasional highly over-priced item.

“Vanishing Ordered Stock”

You have to be pretty much on the ball to order from Ebuyer and check stock levels as more than a few times we've ordered products that show in stock during the order process (10+ stock) only to be disappointed that ordering on the Super Saver Free Delivery service, the products vanish and your order is cancelled after confirmation. “Don't expect fast Delivery but All Good Otherwise”

I have had no problems with this company and have placed 6 different orders with them now. At one point I ordered a monitor which I found was unacceptable quality ( of cause not ebuyers fault ) and I was able to retune it with no trouble. The only negative thing I have to say is if you do pick the free delivery it will never arrive early. It will not be despatched from ebuyer until about 4-5 days after you ordered it.
