We've been on the platform since 2006, and stuck with the product as it was purchased by Vortx, previously a dev partner. It has some potential, and we're a technical outfit that enjoys getting the most out of our site. Extensibility has not been a problem with ASPDNSF. However, we simply have learned the CANNOT rely on the storefront. It's riddled with bugs, some of which will directly affect your customers ability to complete a sale. It's true that they charge for all kinds of support… Read Full Review

Boy! What a true waste of money this has been. Do not waste your money with these guys. I had problems from the start( 5 weeks ago) and quickly asked for help. I am still waiting for a response. I have sent 5-6 messages on the forum. Sent 3 emails, contacted them via Facebook and twitter. In the end I have given up. £47.00 wasted I have had to buy another theme from a different company. I have asked for a refund from storefrontthemes but I obviously have had no answer… Read Full Review

We've used aspdotnetstorefront since its beginning, back when they were a start-up. It has always been buggy and not as "simple" to use as they claim. If and when you get it up and running its mostly fine. Though it has it's share of bugs that the dev team has never quite been able squash from its first versions. The real proble is support. They do not support their product. A previous reviewer mentioned you can't breathe their name without cash in hand, and thats 100% true. Even if you do run… Read Full Review

When I purchased the cart (ASPDNSF) I did so because of the features and begrudgingly learned ASP. What a huge waste of time. The software itself is buggy, and if you need help with their buggy cart ... you are on your own, but it still has a lot of features. My real issue is with the company that runs it. You pay for everything, if you breathe their name they will charge you for it, if you want a mobile site, it's a charge, want responsive customer service, there's a charge for that. There… Read Full Review

Our development company has been using ASPDOTNESTOREFRONT for nearly four years and have been satisfied with the core technology and customer service. We use ML8 as the underlying platform for our e-commerce clients. Out of the box, the platform offers many services and features that are key to running a successful online company. From integration with third party services, to changing content on the fly, to simply applying coupons on orders the system comes with a lot of functionality… Read Full Review

I was told about ASPDotNetStoreFront by my developer who had looked into the best options for building my new ecommerce website. After hearing about all the great features that are standard out of the box i was sold (ASPDotNetStoreFront really does have bags of features which the other shopping carts just don't have). We bought the software about 12 months ago, and we really haven't looked back since. I found it easy to add products, add content - all the stuff that anyone who is running an… Read Full Review

I am a devoted ASPDNSF fan. I have worked with them for several years now and couldn’t be happier with the progress that has been made since Vortx took over last year. I came aboard when 9 was initially released and I wasn’t all that impressed, but I stuck it out. Since the company has been under new ownership, there’s been nothing but positive and beneficial changes made. I’m not just talking about the software either, but support and customer service, too. When was the last time… Read Full Review

This software, initially introduced about 10 years ago is very time consuming and full of technical issues. There is significant problems with this software package, so much that I will say PURCHASE FROM A MORE LEADING COMPANY, this company is now owned by a new owner and to receive any support of upgrades you will have to purchase a plan. This software has a monthly recurring fee for the mobile platform and their licensing module is problematic so much that you will be frustrated with the… Read Full Review

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this product at all costs! This storefront is extremely complex to install and use, the documentation is terrible, there are hidden upgrade costs and technical requirements which are conveniently not mentioned by anyone before you are stuck with the purchase, the admin component is cryptic to use. Purchasing this product was a terrible mistake that we now wish we could undo. Unfortunately, we now have so much time, energy and money invested into trying to… Read Full Review

Unless you are a seasoned ASP.net developer or can afford to hire one, DO NOT BUY this software.
Even out-of-the-box this cart requires technical assistance just to get it working correctly, not small customizations but to add things like manufacturers and product categories takes a trouble ticket (which of course requires an additional purchase after 5 tickets).
This software is sold "as-is" so once you test it out on their servers (where everything works) you are stuck with it. If they… Read Full Review

ASPDOTNETSTOREFRONT has many features. To set it up as a professionally-looking attractive e-store, you'll need a seasoned developer. The architecture is very flawed and code quality is very poor. These guys have very little idea of any coding conventions. It's unoptimized. HTML is scattered all over the place. Quite often, to modify some HTML (something as simple as a form), you'll need to dig deep into class files. If you like to follow standards and set up your websites as XHTML-compliant… Read Full Review

I used this AspDotNet Storefront software in a previous company, so this was my first choice for my new company. I have regretted that decision for months now. We have experienced so many issues with the company including horrible customer support, their upgrades crashed our site, they sent us files to fix the crash that had even more errors in them and caused permanent problems that they never were able to fix, there are coding problems with the site map, etc. I cannot emphasize how bad their… Read Full Review

I am the CIO at a mid-sized company that provides truck accessories and tow truck equipment workd-wide using AspDotNet Storefront for our ecommerce presence. We considered both the SAP solution and a product called NetSuite. Both were similar but were missing key features that we required for Internet transactions with our customer base. Not only was ASPDNS easy to integrate with our current accounting program, it also saved us tens of thousands of dollars AND was more flexible to our needs… Read Full Review

This is our first experience using ecommerce software, and we've been very pleased with the product. The features are full, and they are continually updating the product. Customer support is great, with fast turnaround, and very helpful with both technical issues and specific feature questions. Their user forums seem to cover almost every topic we've looked for. Definitely recommend!

We have been using this product for a little of a year and have been extremely happy with the results so far. The features are fantastic for a product of this price. It's amazing how robust these shopping cart systems have gotten, and this one is very well organized and capable.
Performance has been excellent across the two servers we have hosted on. Customer support (in both sales and specifically technical support) has been awesome. There were a couple times where we messed up our site on… Read Full Review

I decided on ASPDNSF as my shopping cart after researching many other carts. And boy am I glad with this decision! I primarily chose it because 1)it had a lot of build in features. 2)you could easily customize it 3)built on ASP technology with SQl Server backend. I wanted a solid database that could handle large volumes as my business grew. This package has exceeded my expectations! It has just about every feature you can think of. No need to code it, just flip a flag in the admin screen and… Read Full Review

I have been developing a customised solution for a client who required some features that are not available out of the box in any e-commerce solution we have found.
As a developer I have found AspDotNetStorefront extremely flexible in its design and have been able to integrate my customer needs seemlessly.
My client has handled the design changes and customised the application to suit them without my support and they have been very happy with the result.
The cleaver XML model enables design and… Read Full Review
