Liked the park and the caravan. Big let down was the indoor pool which was too small for the amount of people at the site. It was only open for a few hours so was very crowded. The changing rooms were small and you had to wait to get one and wait again when you came out of the pool. The pool was rather tatty looking and the whole place looked neglected. A big part of our holiday is using the pool so we won't be back because of this Shame really!

i booked this holiday through the sun newspaper and then read the reviews!good job i don't believe everything i read. our caravan was really clean, the beds were already made up, we were in a fantastic position with a sea view and had all the equipment in the kitchen we needed. you don't always get a microwave and a toaster when you book a basic caravan but we did. the weather over the bank holiday wasn't brilliant but we managed to use the outdoor pool a couple of times and when it rained used the indoor pool. lots of outdoor facilities it you want them. The bingo doesn't last too long and the evening entertainment was really good. my one complaint is the price of drinks. a regular slush, when they were working was £2, a pint of Fosters £3.55 and a large white wine was £5.40 - that is more expensive than London. come on Park Resorts keep your prices down and then you won't have to do bag checks!!

We stayed here end of july 2011 for long weekend. 8 Of us in our party altogether ( 4 adults, 4 Children). We had a 1 bed chalet which was more than adequate for the four of us. Our friends had a caravan which again more than adequate for their needs. We loved the pool altho think the changing rooms should be made into cubicles as open plan was very intimidating for my 11 year old daughter!! Didnt use the on site eating facilites. Shop was usual camp site shop - expensive but there for essentials. Asda, tesco etc a short drive away. All in all it is a basic, clean base for exploring! I dont go expecting 5 star accommodation and if that is what u want then it's simple, book 5 star hotel!!. We had loads of fun and would go back again no problem.

Camped here on a rugby tour with our junior rugby squad and parent, 12 electric pitches, shower room etc was fine, amusements excellent for the kids, pub Ok, beer a bit pricey, food was average and they ran out of a lot, fish and chip shop was fine. I am amazed that some reviews on here give it a bad mark. If you want better accommodation then go stay in a hotel and spend more money. you get what you pay for in life and all the poor reviews are probably by people who expect a lot for nothing. We paid £42 a pitch for the weekend and was good value for money. Yes it still lives in the 70's but what do you expect from a place like this. We all had a great time, accommodation was fine and fitted the bill.

I have just returned after a week of camping. The facilities were excellent, staff in reception were helpful. the entertainment was fantastic, from the teamstars through to the cabaret acts that came in to the holiday park. The restaurant was good value for money. All the amenities were open. The only moan I have got about it is that they advertised archery, which my son was looking forward to doing. This was not available. The shower block was always flooded, but there was cleaners came in every couple of hours to clean the shower and toilet block. they were flooded due to the amount of people using the block, this is to be expected. I have been to this site about 6 times, but the last time i came to the site was 5 years ago. The holiday park has improved since i last came

Stayed in a Platinum van. Extremely impressed. Clean and very comfortable.
Stayed from 5th July and the pool was open from 10 - 1 and 2 till 5 (longer than the previous review.
Our little boy loved the entertainment in the Evening - which was also funny for parents - Sparky/sparkle and Narky shows great!
Would recommend.

Just come back from a week at Kessingland beach and given the reviews i'd read was fearing the worst but have to say was pleasantly surprised. We took our dog so we could only have a bronze caravan and yes the carpet was a bit dirty but had to say rest was perfectly acceptable. I took cleaning stuff with me so just gave the bathroom and kitchen a clean before we used it mainly that was me being over fussy!.Overall found the holiday park well maintained and access to the beach was easy and made for great walks with the dog. We even had a seaview! Good base for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk and would go again but have to say think prices for Jul & August far to high for the accommodation on offer. Local pub and Waterfront restaurant good. We didn't use the park facilities so can't really comment there but looked ok.
Overall had a great time and sad to be home again.

This was a great hoilday the only thing that let it down was the state of the toilet block and showers. There was often no toilet paper and they were muddy, dirty and smelly. All the staff especially the enertainment were great and when we had a problem with other guests it was delt with promtly and in a approiate manner by helpfull and understand reception staff. A great hoilday even with a child with speacial needs.

It was our 4th holiday here at Kessingland Beach ,the caravan was platinum so it was lovely and spacious ,the entertainment was good, but they seemed to have ran out of alot food in the restaurant but it tasted ok.They have now got crazy inflatable golf and bike hire so there is more to do there. Some of the entertainment nd kids clubs were the same as last year though.I would go back but probably not for a few years.

I booked with Park Resorts, Kessingland Beach as a sun holiday deal but upgraded to gold. On arrival i went to reception as paperwork instructed to be informed checking in was in the boat house entertainment area. We had time spare so my son went in the playground. He enjoyed it and it kept him busy for about an hour - but it is not as big as it looks in the photos!!
Checking in was efficient and i found the caravan easily. The only problem was i couldnt get in!! So back to the boat house , who sent me to reception, who gave me a new key. This key didnt work either so i phoned reception and they said they would sent maintanance and the domestic superviser down as there was old linen left outside.
They both arrived within 10 mins which i was very impressed with and between them managed to get the lock sorted out. The domestic superviser was concerned that the beds hadnt been made but on closer inspection they had. The caravan was two bed, two bathroomed spacious and spotlessly clean.
We unpacked and after avoiding all the rabbit holes we made our way to the swimming pool. The indoor one was shut but the outdoor was open. There were two lifeguards. The pool was cold but once i got used to it i could bear it.
That evening we went to get food onsite and after waiting 45mins for a panini, on enquiring where it was i was told they didnt have any ham or cheese. I was not impressed so i got a refund and we went to Mcdonalds round the corner.
We had a good sleep in comfortable beds but on cooking toast the next morning the electics went off. I phoned the 3 numbers they gave me at checking in and left mesages. Security did answer and explained where the fuse boxes were and i flicked the switch - power resumed!. At 9.30am the maintainance guy arrrived to sort it out after hearing my message on his answer phone.
We went to kids clubs and they were ok - my son and the other children enjoyed them. Lunch was again onsite but it did not appear to have much available from the menu - either that or we just kept choosing the stuff they had run out of!
That evening we went to the harvester - about 20mins away (follow the signs to pleasurewoods hills). That was nice but a very long wait - nearly 2 hours - and they brought me the wrong dinner out.
Kids clubs on wednesday were good. The only criticism i do have is that nearly everything was arts and crafts. My son and i are pretty rubbish at anything crafty!! The team stars would also choose winners but the ones they choose (admittadly they were the best) but they had also been made/drawn by the parents which to me doesnt seem the idea of a KIDS club.
on thursday we went to Pleasurewood Hills theme park and spent an enjoyable day there.

Stunning location, quiet area. Many activities not open, although advertised and areas not cleaned terribly well. However, a peaceful break was thoroughly enjoyed. Would return there.

Kessingland is set in an ideal location for sea fishing and the beach. Our caravan was first class. We would recommend the beautifully refurbished showbar for evenings entertinment. The teamstars were brilliant and very professional and hard working and the cabarets we saw were excellent and varied. The only disappointment was the chip shop was advertised to be open and it wasn't. I would definitely return to Kessingland again

I think you are a bit insulting to people who have complained. Yes you get what you pay for and no you do not expect 5 star accommodation but what you do expect is clean healthy accommodation.
You are obviously happy with what you got maybe your expectations are very low.
Park Resorts make a big play on there accommodation and friendly staff if this is not the case then they should say cheap and nasty then you have a choice. If you are happy to sleep with mould and dirt then good for you, I am not.
