So I'm going through an airport recently and I caught my dad chatting to one of these 'sales guys' about to pull his credit card out. I start chatting to them (I assume it's a raffle style) and ask how many tickets they have sold. They replay with it's not a raffle, if you pay then I'll take the time to explain how it works (alarm bells). So I start asking what the published odds for winning the various prize odds, again I'm told it's not a raffle or a lottery and it works differently,... (read more)

It's not at all like the car competitions in Dubai. There - pay 100 pounds - you are one of only a fixed number of tickets - they draw it out of a hat. The car in the competition is the one they have on the floor. Easy - fair. These clowns seem to have the same set up. BUT you agree to play then you find out that they play a 'spot the ball' competition - BUT you aren't allowed to choose - they do it for you! Also they say - don't worry about the spot the ball - it is irrelevant to the... (read more)

Its only since I have returned from my holiday and had time to look into this company and competition that I realise just how stupid I was to play!!... Just looking on their website and across the net the chances of winning although they make you feel like they are good are terrible! 500,000 - 600,000 made on each comp for a supercar they probs buy for about 80,000.. so bad odds already... but most people get discounted tickets and thousands get free goes from getting close in previous... Once again I'm in utter disbelief at where Best of the Best's "professional" judge decided the ball was. So many times I've checked to see how close I was, only to see the location picked nowhere near where all the players were looking (or where the ball could realistically have been). I've written to BOTB a few times to complain. Once I got a free ticket because so many other people had also complained, and once I had a phone call from someone there to try to assure me it's all legit. I... (read more)

Been a customer for too long. The comp changes its rules like the wind and no one ever seems to win a car! Always seems to be a share of the cash! I'm gonna spend my money on some nice aftershave next time, rather than fill the pockets of Mr Hindmarch like all the other mugs! (read more)

Best of the Best airport super car comp! "Gauranteed monthly winner", may be, but not of the super car you dream of!!!.... The whole set up is majourly flawed. I'm a close friend with an ex employee of best of the best whom worked there for years. Your far better putting your money on the lottery as it's pretty much an expensive blag! It's soo rare that anyone ever wins a car, due to the way the competition opperates on a "spot the ball" competition. Each month, 9 times out of 10 there are... (read more)

I am writing this in regard to the August 2008 competition...
The actual place chosen by the professional in my opinion is so far off where the ball I think should have been. I'm sure my thoughts are echoed by all those that didnt win so its not surprising that I would say this!
My method was to line up the eyes of the players, particularly the ones who are jumping for the ball. If you do this, the place chosen by the professional is nowhere near the actual spot. I realise also that I am...

Given they are present in many UK airports, this company seems big enough to deliver on its promises. And it has to be said, the cars are really nice. But you have to wonder how many tickets they need to sell to pay for their rent and all those salespeople in the airports, must cost an absolute fortune. I played twice and never won anything, I'm hardly surprised... I don't recommend this if you want a realistic chance of winning, just go for it if you have plenty of spare cash and love the cars. The owners of this site suggest that the businesses they advertise are "the best" and that they are some how recommended by the public but this could not be further from the truth. I used this site once and never will again. Id Advise other people to do the same. (read more)

my own experience(i have tried to win a car more than one year, though in vain) tells me this lottery well might be a scam, which however is very difficult to prove.
1.good points-found none
2.dubious points are:
-my results have rarely got even into the "white zone",regardles of tactics I tried.this itself is not a proof of scam.but having read reviews of others with similar "success" convinces me,that something is wrong. There is a "professional",who is taking decisions and whom you never know and neither you know how it comes to he generates his decisions, which are very dubious too often.
-simple arithmetic(calculate the cost of the rented cars, staff, the prizes, etc and compare it to ticket prices)makes it very difficult to believe, that a car might be given away every month. knowing personally a winner could deny this doubt, yet I have none.this winner well might be a fictitious characters or some friend or relatives,or members of a "lounge".
-when generating a decision, this "professional" always have results visible and analysed, and always can choose a point, which is wanted by members of their lounge,as a participant does not have a chance to see the process of the decision generation.
-all the above could be just a mumble of a looser,if not the.....
once I decided to quit,I found that there is now an opportunity to close the account!!!!!! I wrote a letter to the help board asking what I should do in order to close my account, but the reply was something weird: "uncheck the "receive news about BOTB field",and you will not receive our letters anymore,if this is the case"!!!! of'course it's not!!! I just want to close my account forever, but can't do it!! How can I be sure ,that my personal data is not being used against me???
Think twice before you try this lottery. Even UK National lottery, however scarce the chances seem, gives you more chances to win,as I personally won £20,which at least covered my expenses.

The Best of the Best competition website is pretty straight forward if you have some spare cash to have a go. You can win luxury cars for a modestly priced ticket (£10.00 upwards). Try and win a Ferrari or Lamborghini for only £20. Also, in most of the major UK airports. (read more)

exactly how frustrated I felt every time when I saw the ball in a place where it should not be! and I also got a few points worth to ponder:
-we never know who the "professional" is,neither we know what affects his decision, let's say if he is kindly asked to put a ball at a place marked by a friend ,it's impossible to prove, that this wasn't the place of which he actually thought. to put a ball this way actually nobody needs a professional-it could be any clown from a street.
-considering the expenses for renting the cars, salaries for staff, etc. looks very dubious they can easily part with an expensive car ,and now they claim even 2 cars, a month, simple arithmetic.
-but my most concern is something else.eventually I got convinced, that the chances of winning are 0.00000000... and decided to quit,I logged in and tried to close my account forever. How surprised I got when found ,that it's not an option! I wrote an email to the help desk, and got quite a weird reply, that I will not get newsletters from BOTB anymore until I chose to start receiving them again. But this was not my question at all!
