went to see dirty dancing on the 2nd of oct travelled al the way from scotland took over 10 hours to get there but the show was absolutely worth the journey and every penny paid. i travelled down on a bus with many other people and there wasnt a bad word said. actors were all fantastic dancing and singing was superb. the stage wasn't the biggest but was used well and effectively. hope that the show comes to scotland as i would deff go again have recommended to everyone i know. added bonus is that johnny castle is hot hot hot u would't be disappointed.

I took my 11 year old daughter her friend and three of my friends. My friends and I are all Patrick Swayze fans and remember the original.
I would highly recommend this production. It was true to the film even down to the lines and every performance was great. What i was most impressed with was the stage and backdrops truley amazing. We all want to see it again.
I thought the program at £6 was fairly priced too.

OMG!!!
I absouletly loved it!!! The actors were fantastic and the music and dancing was phenomenal. I was taken to see Dirty Dancing for my birthday present and it just made my Birthday. The performance made me have goosebumps. Although it was nearly word for word as the film, the extra bits added were a bonus.
I will be going again. Thank you- Read Ant31's review (63 words)

Dirty Dancing as a great night out but some of the acting was a bit wooden. Some amazing singers and dancing was great. We were in the dress circle and it was very expensive and maybe not worth the money.- Read Guest's review (40 words)

Not what I expected for Dirty Dancing ...the second part of the showwas better then the first half, some of the characters were not strong enough. Not enough zest for me. However, Baby was brilliant!- Read Guest's review (35 words)

My wife, two children aged 12 and 9 yrs and I loved the Dirty Dancing show. We sat in comfort, unlike the Palladium, and the show flew over. It is very well produced and all the scenes from the film are there. To compare it to the film is unfair as it was a one off, but as a show it was very entertaining and the whole family loved it. If you go and expect to see Patrick Swayzee and Jeniffer Grey then stay at home and watch the DVD but if you fancy a great night out in a comfortable modern theatr ...- Read macim67's review (107 words)

Thought Dirty Dancing was absolutely amazing!! Was even better than the film, it was really brought to life and the set was fantastic - I loved the way the actors utilised the revolving stage, and the lake and log scenes were brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. A must see.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Go see it!- Read Guest's review (57 words)

I love the Dirty Dancing film so much so was really looking forward to seing the show. However i was really disappointed. The acting was so bad it made me cringe at times. The music was great but hey there wasn't much they could ruin there. Dancing was ok but there just wasn't the spark that they had in film. The whole show was wooden and nothing special. Maybe they should have left it well alone. Great films like Dirty Dancing need great cast and this show was really lucking it. They could danc ...- Read Guest's review (103 words)

Dirty Dancing is a spectacular dancing show, very good interpretation of the film, what I really liked was the decor and the way they've tried to represent the forest, the lake, the resort. The acting wasn't as good as I expected.- Read erena's review (41 words)

Dirty Dancing the musical was absolutely brilliant.. I don't know, what the other people saw, but what I saw was awesome!!
I've been to several musicals around London (about 9) and Dirty Dancing was the best.. The actors/actresses were brilliant, the stage was amazing.. and I even enjoyed it more then the film! There is such a magic on stage.. It's perfectly done! The dances were amazing and all in all it's really worth seeing it! go for it!- Read mumu's review (79 words)

Went to see Dirty Dancing the show on 24th April 2009 and took sister in law for a birthday present. She is an ardent fan of the film and thought the actors did the film justice. The seats we had were overpriced though as we were one row from the back upstairs in the "Grand".- Read Guest's review (67 words)

We had booked this show months in advance and were really looking forward to it only to be hugely disappointed.
Dirty Dancing is an iconic film that admittedly lays down a huge gauntlet to those trying to recreate it, and unfortunately this cast did not even come close.
The acting was wooden and cringeworthy at times with no real chemistry between any of the lead roles.
And if you are expecting a dancing in the aisles spectacular - Forget It!! Singing and dancing -even when seated seems to be f ...- Read avidfan09's review (132 words)

Before Dirty Dancing hits Broadway (if it does) I think they will need to strengthen the cast. Josef Brown dances great, but he seemed miscast in the role - especially with his Australian accent. They NEED TO SING. Dancing around the stage wasn't satisfying enough to me. It is a long play and could be shortened easily - there were some silly scenes that didn't add anything to the show. Spend more time on building a relationship/romance between the leads. I was disappointed. It wasn't awf ...- Read Guest's review (107 words)

My friend and I went to see the matinee performance of Dirty Dancing on 27th Feb. We both felt rather let down and whilst there were some good aspects to the show, on the whole it was lacking vitality, a major component of the film which made it so successful. The first major dance scene where Baby goes to the dirty dancing basement carrying the water melons was the worst let down. This should have set the mood for the whole show, but we were presented with dancing that resembled a ballet class ...- Read babsperry's review (266 words)

Dirty Dancing was absolutaly amazing, i dont know what these people have been watching, please do not listen. I don't kknow how you could be let down as it lived up to my expectations, i would definatly consider seeing it again. It was one on the best shows i have ever seen, along with Wicked and Phantom of the Opera.

It is good the way the very small Dirty Dancing stage is utilised and the imaginitive set. I have seen quite a lot of shows in the West End and this was the one I enjoyed the least - having said that there were some very good parts and all the lines you wait for "I carried a watermelon" and "nobody puts baby in the corner" certainly delivered but I couldn't help feeling a bit flat at the end of it. The actress playing Baby when I saw it (29 Jan 2009) was AMAZING, it was like watching Jennifer ...- Read NickyL's review (211 words)
