Good Points: Nice looking carton - with Ainsley's big grinning face!
General comments: It was the most revolting tasteless sludge I'd ever tasted out of a packet in my opinion.
I wonder if Ainsley even tasted it? Sadly another case of a celebrity chef cashing in on his name - although I don't he'll be winning any new fans with this effort...

Ainsley Harriott's spicy lentil soup is a reasonable soup - no more, no less. Personally, I found it a little bland, which was disappointing coming from a chef who is usually anything but. I may be slightly prejudiced though, as I must confess to not really being a lentil fan.
On a closing note, I strongly suggest that anyone passionate about not just soup, but tasty food in general, tries Ainsley's 'Scottish Chicken & Leek' soup from the same brand. This tasty concoction takes soup to excit ...

With the name of Ainsley Harriott attached to this product I was expecting a gourmet experience. This was not the case. The colour is like a semi-translucent vegetable soup with some strange green lumps in it (quite possible lentils, but barely distinguishable as such). The taste was bland and boring. Imagine you've had a great curry, and left all the washing up in the sink overnight.
