I own a 1971 model of this trumpet. The instrument has gigged incessantly over the past 30 odd years and all without problems. The trumpet I have has a silver plate finish and tends to give a warmer tone than the laquered type. The valve action is absolutely phenomenal. The only problem which has arisen is that I now compare the valve actions when I play other instruments. Nothing comes close to having what I have, and are used to performing with! (read more)

Getzen 300 is very well made, the one I got I Believe is very old but is much much better than some of these new "low" Trumpet brands. If you are looking for Bb trumpet I highly suggest you look into this one. they cost money but they are definitely worth it! (read more)

This is an excellent quality horn, built to last, has excellent intonation, sound, projection, tone color/quality is rich and warm, and is easy to blow. Again, although it is marketed as a student horn, it is far more than comparable companies' student horn line. Other companies that give the Getzen a run for its money are 1) Kanstul (700), 2) Bach (TR-300), and 3) Yamaha's 2xxx trumpet. You also find used Olds Ambassadors, many of which were made by the company with Zigmant Kanstul himself... (read more)
