I own a 1971 model of this trumpet. The instrument has gigged incessantly over the past 30 odd years and all without problems. The trumpet I have has a silver plate finish and tends to give a warmer tone than the laquered type. The valve action is absolutely phenomenal. Getzen 300 is very well made, the one I got I Believe is very old but is much much better than some of these new "low" Trumpet brands. If you are looking for Bb trumpet I highly suggest you look into this one. they cost money but they are definitely worth it! … Read Full Review

This is an excellent quality horn, built to last, has excellent intonation, sound, projection, tone color/quality is rich and warm, and is easy to blow. Again, although it is marketed as a student horn, it is far more than comparable companies' student horn line. Other companies that give the Getzen a run for its money are 1) Kanstul (700), 2) Bach (TR-300), and 3) Yamaha's 2xxx trumpet. You also find used Olds Ambassadors, many of which were made by the company with Zigmant Kanstul himself… Read Full Review
