Vivastreet recently stopped free reposting of 'free' classified ads and now want money. They did this with no warning of any kind. This is sly and underhand and typical of the kind of operators you find at the sleazy end of the spectrum. Do not touch with a barge pole. (read more)

Have had an advert up in moderation for several days now. I've noticed a nice big shiny button next to the message that prompts you to upgrade to the premium service. I suspect the owner uses the moderation to get people to sign up. There are better classifieds out there that won't charge a penny! (read more)

Viva Street pull ads without rhyme or reason. Ads which have been run successfully before are pulled as inappropriate ( its the 18+ personals for heavens sake.) Images which are fully compliant get pulled and INCORRECT reasons are chosen as the reason. This review isn't the result of one or two problems. It's because they closed my account whilst leaving older more established advertisers placing exactly the same sort of advert styles. Customer service is inconsistent. The moderators do... I have used Vivastreet many times with success but recently they have been infuriatingly unpredictable. Having spent over an hour carefully drafting my ad and making sure it was professional in all respects, I submitted and received back 'your ad was unable to be published' along with a generic short email saying why. “Over 18's VERY EXPENSIVE ADVERTISING ”

Back page is better and cheaper. vivastreet is the only site I know that offer escort advertising where you agree that you are over 18 , but the site don't allow you to post any adult content whatever they are the most expensive on the web. Avoid this site as you can advertise on back page that is cheap and more flexible. PS: If you want to post a fake picture that is the site for you. and carfull words like busty, sexy,bdsm,godees and other are not allowed. bad website , bad customer... (read more)

I use to advertising on this site,, and notice they keep credit card information, not good! when you check you statment and another charge there, They big business is escort adverting., they also change terms and codictions a lot. Escorts is over charge on this site so I would not recomended. They are free in many part of the world but for UK they are a paid site and it's quite expensive. I agree with all the other comments and reviews. In thery its a good place but the message system is hit and miss at best and the coverage isnt that great. But more frustrating is that they delete ads as and when they choose and for no apperent reason (read more)

VivaStreet go against the spirit of the internet and selectively censor ads when they feel like it. There does not seem to be any constructive or set rules that apply. Even though they have a terms of use and agreement contract it seems that it is down to the so-called `moderators` to either allow or disallow your advert.
I run ads in the adult section and stick to their own rules about how to advertise and how often I can run each ad and yet most of my ads are pulled for no reason yet... (read more)

I placed a free ad on www.vivastreet.co.uk and had a message left by a viewer (supposedly) but the sites 'respond to messages' system did not work - it would not show me the security code needed in order to send a message to anyone including them! (read more)

I have a health business which I tried to advertise on Vivastreet. However my account was twice deleted as it didn't 'conform to the community spirit'

The adverts placed were to help people stop smoking and lose weight. Perfectly innocent. Having browsed the site I discovered some insulting imagery and content... makes me wonder what actually conforms to the community spirit.
