From beginning to end i wished i had never heard of these people ive got a friend who had a serious accident the driver at fault was inssured by equity red star, over 4 years have passed and still no settlement in sight he described equity red star as being uncooperative, slow to react for any requests for money advances to support him self my friend has had serious bouts of depression since the accident but mainly these where caused by equity red star and there underhand tactics 2 times since his accident he had been working towards putting his life back on track with some serious retraining as his injuries being very serious the option to return to his more manual job was not an option. I would not recommend these people to my worst enemy, slow response uncooperative and most of all unwilling to pay out compensation to an injured person as a result of a drivers reckless driving who they insured 'what is it they say ? if you cant stand the heat then stay out the kitchen' equity red star: they smell a sewer full of rats would be more of a friend!

I had a comprehensive policy via Equity Insurance Brokers for a VW Polo in 2007-2008. I was introduced via the Call Connect service. I accepted the policy purely based on price, they reduced the original premium from 360 to 290 pounds, which was an absolute bargain, without increasing the xs from their minimal £100 xs.

The customer service I received from the Bishop Stortford Brokerage was exceptional. Dealing with a small office team rather than a huge call centre (and I work in one so ...

Equity Red Star Car Insurance give a very poor service you have to deal with claim more than them. They will try anything not to pay out on claim so keep pushing hard. Very bad on giving information on whats happening and staff rude.

I selected equity red star among other quotes because it was cheaper with less deposit than other companies.
It was ok unless i made a claim. Its beena month now since I had an accident and still my claim is not settled.I wasnt provided a courtesy car either. And still when i phoned customer support they said they are sending my documents to DVLA for verification and when they are verified then they will issue a checkque. And that cheque will then have to be authorised by a senior. And then it will ...

I insured a vw beetle with Equity Red Star, due to a change in circumstances i sold the car and cancelled the insurance after 1 month. I paid £293 for the insurance, yet was told I WAS NOT ENTITLED TO ANY MONEY BACK AT ALL. If i wanted any money back i was supposed to cancel within 14 days of taking the insurance out. Plus the insurance was "VOLKSWORLD" magazine insurance..... supposedly for enthusiasts by enthusiasts......

i recently purchased £260 worth of insurance from Equity Red Star Car Insurance for my scooter which i found as a brilliant deal as i was paying around 500 last year with them, that was until i got a £80 charge come out of my bank, i got in touch wit equity and they informed me that i was paying 51% interest on this insurance which boosted it back up to about £400-450 which abolutely insane, and if i want to cancel they have to have the whole 400, this is by far the worst ru ...

Part of my accident was to claim for a damaged helmet (covered in my policy.)Equity Red Star Car Insurance covered the bike repairs no problems. However when i go to chase up my helmet claim they're useless, they're responsive when asking me for the information.I provided it all, purchase receipts etc & they still hav'nt gotten back to me yet.

I took out a policy with Equity Red Star through my broker Bennets for a scooter. After having the scooter hi-jacked, I found I could not contact my insurance as they only open 9-5 Monday to Friday and when I did contact them they were unhelpful. After a month they are still stalling on paying out on my claim, claiming they cannot get hold of the dealing officer and will settle my claim as soon as they can. I got hold of him after one 5 minute phone call and was informed no attempt whatsoever had ...

4 days after a burglary, I've had to call Equity Red Star Car Insurance with several numbers to get promises that one of the 3 companies that become involved in this policy, will call me back to deal with my claim; no-one called Fed up. I will be extra diligent about being assured of getting a good service next time I take out an insurance policy. Not only have our things been stolen, we've wasted lots of our valuable time trying to claim.

I have read many reviews on Equity Red Star, being in insurance myself I know that the only people that complain about the service is the people who hound the staff to get things done, obviously the staff in any insurance company have time scales to work to but calling them 5 times a day doesn't help them or yourself, however Equity sorted out my claim straight away they were quick and reliable and I couldn't thank them more, I would highly recommend Equity!!!!Good points were everything, from t ...

Equity Red Star Car Insurance. I have taken this insurance because it is cheapest on the market. When I made a claim. It's my mistake, i should read reviews from the net before getting the policy and now am suffering. Equity didn't provide me a courtesy car, and its been weeks i still haven't got my car. I don't know where to go next. I found them to be really slow on processing, even when I call them many times, I feel I am just passed from one person to another. They took my money right away ...

I just had this insurance because of the cheapest quote. My mistakes is that i hadn't read reviews of this company. I had no car for more than a week, equity is not providing one. had taken from the recovery for four days and its now on garage waiting for estimates and repair for how long??? this insurance is NOT highly recommended.

When I made attempt to express my dissatisfaction nobody I spoke to from Equity Star seemed willing to listen to my complaint.
Poor customer services, overall they they should nominated as the worse home insurance company. I would urge anyone not to take any kind of policy with Equity Red star.

I had to make a claim through these people and it seems like I had to always contact them! They have not returned calls yet. I got told that the payment had been sent. A week later I rang up and they tell you the same thing.

Cannot recommend. Extremely sloppy service. Took almost one year to retrieve my excess back after someone drove into the back of my car. Very inefficient. They were slow to send the paper work and liase with the other driver.

Very poor customer service I have phoned on so many occasions and had no response I have been past from one person to another and to no avail. In my opinion it does not pay to be honest now i am a victim twice over, equity red star and the thief who stole and wrote off my car. My advice to anyone reading this dont insure with equity red star and if you do READ THE SMALL PRINT and even if you do and its not in the terms and conditions they still didn't pay out.

After having there investigators drag ther feet for six months and liase with the police, they have despite no solid evidence decided to not to honor my claim ,despite being a victim.I paid my premium in good faith and i feel totaly victimised by equity red star. They have let me down and i have no faith in honesty as it has not paid of for me.I now have a smashed up car through joy riders sitting on my drive and no money to repair or replace it.

With honest customers being charged an administrative fee of £25 if they speak to their customer services department, again of which I was not informed of, I'm sure fewer customers will recommend them. Seems the Chairman's view would change from below if he tried calling them!:

'Customer service is vital in our sector. It is one of the key differentiators. A positive customer service experience can often lead to great new business opportunities, as customers recommend us to family, collea ...
