    Good Points: One of the highest interests in UK banks (only Alliance and Leicester offers 6.50 %, but it will change to 0.1 % after August 2008). You have no penalty if you deposit less than 1000 pounds per month. The interest is paid at the end of each month.


    General comments: I would strongly recommend Halifax High Interest Current Account to my friends, although the service HBOS is not the best there is...

    Halifax also offered an interest and charge-free overdraft of £1000 for 120 days to help with the transfer of the High Interest current account. Wow! Hard to resist such a good deal. Not sure how long it will last though, better hurry.
