I had continued my Private Health Care Insurance with Axa PPP following redundancy as it covered my pre-existing condition. When the renewal came in, I decided to cancel owing to the cost. I was then put through to Health at Hand and spoke to a very knowledgeable lady called who confidently told me that she could help me at a far lesser cost. I sent the details that were required by AXA so they could decide whether I was eligible for private treatment. Without thinking that they would need time to get this sorted, I hurriedly booked my surgery at the private hospital so that I could have surgery quickly. I was then told that the hospital needed details of insurance before they would confirm the date. Accordingly I rang AXA and explained the situation. the entire review took place over the phone which is not the correct way of making a vital decision. I wouldnt mind giving all the details and then the agent comes back in person with the range of policies and quotes. Only one insurance provider was forced upon me and the others were not even mentioned. Really I couldn't ask for more out of a policy, it really had everything I wanted. As for the representative I spoke to, he explained everything very well.
