I have used NCH Sound Editor since 2006 - now using version 4.03. I am a bit of a computer dummy but I found it easy to use by reading the help manuals. The big problem is when you need Technical Support which is vital to me on occasions. They provide Technical Support at a cost - I paid 33 Australian dollars for Silver support in June 2009 but every time I try to email them with a question I get an immediate response that they don't recognise my address and therefore I will be at the... I do not recommend NCH Software. I purchased this product in July of 2008. Website & activation process were *very* confusing but I got through it after a determined hour. Redownloaded from the website 1 Jan 2009 to reinstall on a new computer. Discovered they had snuck the version number up by a fractional decimal point to correct some bugs in the software AND that you must repurchase the software all over again for any new versioning, including their fixing their own bugs. NCH Swift Sound WavePad v 2.10 is easy to use and did everything I needed it to do. WavePad edits my audio and then saves as my mobile phone's format so I can load it up (using my cables that came with my phone). In effect, I can make my own ringtones from any audio file I want. I recommend this program to anyone who would like to make their own ringtones or edit audio. (read more)
