Bad Points: Bottom gets very hot when used for longer than 30 minutes in my experience. Touch pad sometimes will freeze up for a second or two and then work fine. Loaded with JUNK software from Toshiba. Has its own power settings that can not be controlled from windows. Has its own wireless and LAN connection programs that are useless. Power connector in back is fragile. Has USB 1 and not USB 2 ports. USB is so, so, slow.
General comments: Toshiba Satellite Pro A15 is lightweight and sturdy. Solid feel. Comfortable to work with hours on end. Nice big screen with better than average picture. Has caller id modem and call waiting features with modem software.
Overall a reliable computer but it has the taint of Toshiba "features" that are a waste of time and effort as far as I am concerned. Wish they had let the operating system control the hardware rather than installing their own. Mine has worked great for several years. It has been cleaned, reformatted and original software/operating system installed several times.

What can I say? With 2Gb of hard drive memory, 256Mb of RAM and a 1.996 Ghz processor, the Toshiba Satellite Pro A15 laptop is like pen and paper compared to current notebooks. Despite it being old and slow, it is lightweight and very easy to use.
