Ocean Restaurant, Ventnor provides great food, though somewhat pretentious. Similar upmarket quality can be had elsewhere for considerably less (eg the Wellington, Royal)

A frequent visitor to The Ocean Restaurant, I am continually surprised by the quality and value for money this restaurant offers. The Isle of Wight is not the gastronomic desert that many assume, and the Hambrough Hotel's restaurant (sibling to the Pond Cafe in Bonchurch) has consistently given us better service and food than many famous London restaurants.
