“Do not book”

Booked hotel and flights on sat but noticed money hadn't gone out of account so rang this afternoon to chase to be told the flights were booked but not the hotel as it had gone up in price considerably. We had had no email or telephone call confirming this. We are now left with having to go on the dates of the flights and have to choose a hotel we don't want to go in. “Ripped off”

I selected my hotel on a Saturday, clicked on the price and confirmed.On the Monday alpharooms phoned and said the price had gone up by £17.00.I felt as though I had been ripped off and in spite of terms and conditions I probably was.If you click on a price and the website accepts it then that should be the price you pay.What a bad company… Read Full Review

“never again”

We recently made a booking with them i booked a hotel for me my husband and parents as they stayed in this hotel years ago but after we booked noticed it is now a party hotel so following day contacted alpharooms only to be told its £35 to change (not even 24hrs after booking this) but had to pay the new hotel in full and wait for a refund now 5 days on and no refund .customer service is horrendous.wrote to complaints department given to us by agent and only to be told it wasn't received..of… Read Full Review

“Disgusting customer service”

Booked our January 2916 holiday in May 2015 only to be told 6 months later that our hotel had over booked. Offered lower standard hotel in its place!! Totally not interested in discussing other options despite 'our' hotel still being on their website available for booking...now costing three times as much, was this why our holiday was cancelled! Agree totally never book with alpha rooms they over book all the time and try to blame hotel its not hotels fault they know people book better hotels and then they look to move them to somewhere they would not book in the first place .................DO NOT USE ALPHA ROOMS UNLESS YOU WHAT HOLIDAY RUINED ............NEVER ...EVER BOOK WITH ALPHA ROOMS.

“worst service ever”

I booked with alpha rooms this year and got a little confused during booking as I wanted a 2 bedroom apartment. After I had completed my booking I emailed them as it was showing as a twin room. I had an email straight back telling me that the room I had booked was a 2 room apartment. when I arrived at the resort i found out I was in a 1 room apartment and my family of 4 had to squeeze into the room!! Thank you for your comments.

I have reviewed the correspondence and the internal notes that relate to your booking. I can see that the reservation you made on our website was for a Twin Room. These usually consist of one room with two single beds and any additional sofa beds will be in the same room. I am very sorry that you were advised incorrectly that the additional beds would be in a separate room.

When you contacted us from the hotel we confirmed that you had been provided with the Twin Room that you paid for originally. In recognition of the incorrect information that you had previously been given by our customer service agent we offered an £80.00 refund as an apology to you. However, we did explain that the reservation had been confirmed correctly and in line with the booking that you made on our website.

Your case was then reviewed once you contacted us on return from your holiday and we decided that our offer was a fair one. You replied to us accepting the offer and the case was then finalised.

Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience caused and I hope that this answers your questions.

Regardless of what I paid for AlphaRooms customer services emailed me to tell me I had booked a 2 bedroomed apartment after I had asked them to confirm what I had actually booked this I found out on arrival was wrong !!! When I contacted AlphaRooms regarding this from the resort they weren't prepared to help me even though they acknowledged that they had told me the wrong info so does £80 make up for that clearly no . I wouldn't trust this company as they gave me bad information that ruined my holiday . I would recommend you take great care before booking with them as I have found them very unfriendly they are trying to blame me for booking wrong when they have actually confirmed via email to me that I had actually booked a 2 bedroomed apartment . AlphaRooms messed up and refuse to compensate fairly very poor attitude to customers in my opinion and I would never use them again .

We booked flights and accommodation with these guys on Sunday, on Monday we called up as they hadn't taken full payment to be advised they had taken the money for the hotel (£350) but not the flights. i advised thats ok i wanted to change the hotel anyway (my mistake) and was advised it would be best to cancel this booking and create another which i did. the next booking they took the entire amount £1000 and then advised me an hour or 2 later that the hotel wasn't available and they only… Read Full Review

I am very sorry to hear that you're unhappy with our service. We work with live prices and availability which does mean that sometimes, regrettably, an element of a booking can become unavailable between when you make the booking request and when we attempt to confirm your selection. Unfortunately we cannot control the availability on our site.

“untrustworthy price rise after paying deposit ”

I booked a holiday and paid deposit with Alpharooms , got conformation , then the next day a phone call to say the hotel booked fine but the flight did not go through and it had gone up by £100 , I ask for them to check it which they did , while they were on the phone I checked there site the price was the same as when booked and other sites with the same flight varied £20 more not a £100 , I told them to refund all money including credit card fees which they said they would and have done… Read Full Review

I am very sorry to hear we were unable to confirm your flight at the original price you selected. We work with a live system and flight prices can change before we can confirm them with the provider. If this happens we offer the selected flight at the new price or a full refund. This also means that prices can go up and down on our site at any time.

Very sorry my posterior as in my post I said i tried more than once selecting the flight at different times what a coincidence the flight goes up when after the booking is took . maybe a more up to date computer system may be in order , then you can keep up with the competition and get live price on a search not a booking request , it would be the same in shops baked beans 10p then get the checkout sorry its gone up to 20p nothing but a big money making racket

plus a warning for all these so called bookings are not a booking they are a Booking Request
