I was met personally at the airport by an Alpha rooms rep who quickly directed me to my transport and I was on my way to the resort within 10 minutes, something I rarely experience, the return was equally as trouble free. The hotel was great with very few minor issues that caused me personally no problems. Comfortable and tidy rooms well serviced on a daily basis. Found Alpharooms to be the cheapest option when checking out other booking websites. The room we were allocated was on the 4th floor but this was not a problem as there is a very efficient lift to either the roof terrace bar or down to any of the other floors. Booked a flight and hotel for a week's holiday. There was no indication on the alpharooms website that there was no baggage allowance included in the booking. Also no option to add it when booking. Who would go on a week's holiday with only hand luggage??? When I got the invoice found out about the lack of baggage allowance and that it would be £43 to add it. Where do I start with this?! Firstly the figures on the confirmation documents didn't add up to what we had paid for the holiday. I contacted Alpharooms and was told that the amount on the confirmation documents was correct and no extra money would not be taken from the account. Dear customer,
We apologise for the overpayment and delayed refund; this was down to a system error and should not have happened. It was rectified and a full refund and free cancellation of the accommodation was offered when you asked for this as a resolution; however you decided to turn this down.
Unfortunately on rare occasions the hotel does overbook their rooms and in this case they offered the alternative, not alpharooms.com. We cannot control the hotels booking system and rely on them to provide us with the correct information.
It is unfortunate that it happened to you, but it is stated in of our terms of business and we attempted to find a resolution that suited you but we were limited in what we could do as we had to go through the provider and hotel and could not offer an alternative that was not in line with their recommendation.
We only offer a refund for the hotel as this is the only element of the booking affected by the bookout, again this is in the terms of business which you agree to when booking.
We have listened to the calls and you were never told that you could not speak to a manager, you were simply advised they would tell you the same thing you had already been told. Several of your phone calls were escalated to senior advisors and this is the escalation process we offer. You were able to speak with the Duty Manager but she had to terminate the call due to the abusive language being used towards her.
You were provided with our usual high standard of care as we tried to resolve the issues with the overbooking of your hotel. However, the process was delayed due to the abusive language used again several members of our team and those calls having to be terminated.
If you are still unhappy with the service you have received I suggest you contact our customer relations team in writing with a formal complaint.

We booked a holiday to Barcelona through Alpha Rooms along with transport which we paid for up front. We wouldn't usually choose the transport option however as our flight was a late one, we had concerns about public transport. Also we weren't sure exactly where our hotel was. Unfortunately our transfer never arrived. After waiting and searching for 40min, we had no choice but to get a taxi (buses had stopped running), costing us 50 euros. Booked Hotel Selene Rome for a 2 night stay with Alpharooms. On arrival at Hotel staff informed us that Alpharooms had booked us in to a different Hotel with the same name but this Hotel was 40km away (genuine mistake). My husband developed serious health problems since booking - asked how much it would be to cancel but they stated their 'terms and conditions' that it would be 75% of the booking fee. My parents then booked a neighbouring hotel to come and help with children and we tried to move to the same hotel as them. We booked a hotel in benidorm and when we got there we were not booked in. We had no idea what to do. Phoned alpha rooms and they had moved us without telling us. We were moved to a worse hotel without aircon and for the 3 nights no fresh towels or maid service. We were refused this. Used Alpharooms lots of time. Usually no problems, but last time I booked they didn´t e-mail me my accommodation vouchers. Went to ´Manage your booking´ and asked for them. They sent Accom vouchers from a previous booking that I had already been on! Obviously they had not read my e-mail properly! In the end I had to go to hotel with confirmation invoice that didn´t actually show that I had paid. (read more)

I have used Alpharooms many times for booking accommodation on the Algarve: the website is fast and easy-to-use, and shows plenty of options. It gives good detail about the hotels and other establishments, and I have found that Alpharooms almost always offers the lowest prices. I have almost always used Alpharooms and have made many bookings through them. Always been thoroughly pleased until now... I had a check for some hotels we've previously enjoyed and the increase in price is just ridiculous. One hotel offered £380 in total only to now be almost £380 per person !!!!! Staff are always helpful and friendly and never try to rush you off the phone if you have any quiries or problems. I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your booking.
We only deal with low cost flight providers - all of which charge extra for you to check in luggage. Although many of our customers are happy to travel for a week with only hand luggage we understand that others do not, and the option to add a bag to your booking should have been offered before you proceeded to they payment page. Please can you log this in manage my booking so we can look into why this option was not offered to you.
There is no difference in cost to add a bag at the time of booking or before you leave if you decided you want one. However, the cost to check a bag at the airport rises considerably.
In order to offer the best prices online we work with low cost travel providers to get our customers the best deal.
