We booked a holiday to Barcelona through Alpha Rooms along with transport which we paid for up front. We wouldn't usually choose the transport option however as our flight was a late one, we had concerns about public transport. Also we weren't sure exactly where our hotel was. Unfortunately our transfer never arrived. After waiting and searching for 40min, we had no choice but to get a taxi (buses had stopped running), costing us 50 euros. Booked Hotel Selene Rome for a 2 night stay with Alpharooms. On arrival at Hotel staff informed us that Alpharooms had booked us in to a different Hotel with the same name but this Hotel was 40km away (genuine mistake). Very upset by the mistake we contacted Alpharooms who did their best. It was a bank holiday in Italy and most Hotels in Rome were full. We have used alpharooms 5 or 6 times now and will use them again. Their site is very easy to use. Best of all are their prices. The hotels always work out much cheaper when booked via alpharooms, yet you get just the same service etc as customers who have paid much more. My husband developed serious health problems since booking - asked how much it would be to cancel but they stated their 'terms and conditions' that it would be 75% of the booking fee. My parents then booked a neighbouring hotel to come and help with children and we tried to move to the same hotel as them. We booked a hotel in benidorm and when we got there we were not booked in. We had no idea what to do. Phoned alpha rooms and they had moved us without telling us. We were moved to a worse hotel without aircon and for the 3 nights no fresh towels or maid service. We were refused this. Used Alpharooms lots of time. Usually no problems, but last time I booked they didn´t e-mail me my accommodation vouchers. Went to ´Manage your booking´ and asked for them. They sent Accom vouchers from a previous booking that I had already been on! Obviously they had not read my e-mail properly! In the end I had to go to hotel with confirmation invoice that didn´t actually show that I had paid. (read more)

I have used Alpharooms many times for booking accommodation on the Algarve: the website is fast and easy-to-use, and shows plenty of options. It gives good detail about the hotels and other establishments, and I have found that Alpharooms almost always offers the lowest prices. Bookings made through Alpharooms have always run smoothly, with no problems. I have almost always used Alpharooms and have made many bookings through them. Always been thoroughly pleased until now... I had a check for some hotels we've previously enjoyed and the increase in price is just ridiculous. One hotel offered £380 in total only to now be almost £380 per person !!!!! All things must pass I guess unless Alpharooms do their upmost to be the cheapest. Instead of a few good profits get loads of small profits and you'll make more as a company.... (read more)

I find alpharooms excellent. Have booked through them aboout 5 or 6 times. Website is easy to follow and use compared to other online agents. Staff are always helpful and friendly and never try to rush you off the phone if you have any quiries or problems. They have good "alpha deals of the day" sometimes ones every one can benifit from weather your looking for a cheap package or luxury package. This is the first time i have used the alpharooms.com website and would definitely use the site again. We were looking for a hotel close to Liverpool city centre and once I saw that one of the recommended hotels was The Liner I had no hesitation in booking through the website. I booked a trip to London and only had to pay 10 pound deposit plus the astronomical card charge. at the time I asked that if I had to cancel would I just lose my deposit. I was told yes. An good, straightforward booking form. Not all are this easy. It worked as it should, quite seamlessly, quite re-assuring for an elderly non tech person like me. Have you tried booking air flights lately? The bit I like best is you can hold a booking with a small deposit, and then access your account later, nearer to the booking time to complete payment. I have found Alpharooms to be consistently offering cheaper deals at the same hotels and resorts as others. Overall, a good experience. (read more)

Arrived in hotel at frontdesk. Hotel seems not to be booked on our name. All other persons got a drink on arrival. We stand there for 1 hour. Finally we got a room. But only 2 single beds. We do not state on our front page that you will not be guaranteed seats together. However, when making the booking you did agree to the Airlines Terms and Conditions. We have previously advised you that the airlines conditions state that seats together cannot be guaranteed.
We are not responsible for seating on the aircraft, this is the responsibility of the carrier.
The representative you spoke to booked exactly what you requested. If guaranteed seats together were such an important factor in making your booking it is your responsibility to explicitly make this clear during the call. If you had done this the representative would have been able to advise you on this matter.
Had you asked for seats together during the call we would have been able to advise you on this matter. The responsibility lies with you to ensure you have made the correct booking.
Having investigated this matter I can confirm that no refund will be offered.
Once again, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write to us with your views. I hope that my remarks will give some assurance that your feedback has been taken seriously.

I'll gladly answer your points here...as with the previous correspondance we've had you do have a fantastic way of avoiding the truth in this matter.
As I stated with your staff member when I booked the trip to New York I would be travelling with my girlfriend then I think that pretty much guarantees I'll be requiring a seat with her.
I've travelled for over 15 years with many companies including Expedia, Thomas Cook, Last Minute and many more. Never EVER have they seen fit to book a party of two (after I've stated we'll be travelling together) apart.
As you've repeated this lie in our correspondance, and now see fit to reply on forums with this mistruth, then I have all the evidence I require to take this one step further.
On top of which it's frankly ludicrous why we'd require seats apart.
I am fully aware you don't intend to offer me a refund which is why I'm currently in the midst of gaining legal support against yourselves. Of which I've already gained a lot of support. It would appear I am but one of many disgruntled customers.
Please don't put up any further mistruths after my reviews. I stated I was travelling with my girlfriend and I'm frankly disgusted you're still taking it this far.
( It should also be noted your total lack of response for covering the misinformation you gave me on my baggage allowance , booking a room with twin beds instead of double in Ibiza - along with the many phone calls I had to make to your far from helpful customer services.)

I booked The Magic Rock Gardens hotel several months ago in the Levante area of Benidorm as we were meeting friends who were staying a few minutes away. The Alphrooms sent an email to say that the Magic Rock was closed on the date we had booked and was closed for refurbishment so we were booked into Villa Del Mar in Poniente which wasnt the most convenient as we wanted Levante area. I do not think I have used any other booker to book my hotels in the last 5 years! The prices are always really cheap and the search is so easy to use and you can refine to all different parameters.for example, price, board, location, hotel etc. I know friends who have booked the whole package through the site, flights, transfers and accommodation and had no trouble at all.
