Good Points: It's a lush product.
Bad Points: It's not very good.
General comments: Ok, Ok I am a Lushaholic and with such a vast amount of different and lovely smelling products does anyone blame me. I have only recently been introduced to the world of Lush but I am certainly making up for lost time with buying and trying as many products as humanly possible.
One of the first items I decided to try out was this Lush Creamed Almond and Coconut Smoothie Body Wash. I love all things with almond in and I though that this would be a good place to start.
Price and packaging:
This is a little bit more expensive for a shower gel/soap than I would usually spend and at £5.75 for a 250-gram pot it really is a little treat. Compared to other smoothie's on the Lush website (Dream wash at £6.95) it is cheaper but not something I would usually buy.
It comes in a large tub in a black colour with the usual Lush logo and white writing on giving you the ingredients, product information and directions for use.
Look and smell:
Inside the black pot is a off white colour cream which is not that runny and it is described as more of a mousse, but I think it is just a thick cream.
Well I certainly cannot smell either coconut or almond. It says on the tub that it will smell of ylang ylang and vanilla (I should have read more closely before ordering). It does seem silly to give it the name it has when it smells like something totally different, but the smell is not really that noticeable. I can mainly smell vanilla not it is not at all strong.
It is actually described on the pot as "beautiful shower soap for dry skin and smelling of vanilla and ylang ylang".
General Usage:
In the shower after soaking my skin with water I grab a little handful of this shower soap and gently rub it all over my skin. It doesn't soap up as much as my usual shower gels but It does give a nice foam.
I really can not smell the fragrance what so ever but it does feel really nice and soft against my skin
You don't really need that much to wash you whole body and I have had this now for over a month and have used it in every shower I have had and I still have over a quarter of the tub left.
What Lush Say About Their Product:
"The Creamed Almond and Coconut Smoothie Shower Soap is more of a mousse in texture than a cream, if you want to get technical about it. Dip your fingers into the pot and scoop it out and it sits there, scented with sensual jasmine, calming ylang ylang and gentle vanilla, waiting to be applied to your body to clean it, moisturise it with almond and coconut oils and perfume it with the all of the above plus deep, divinely scented labdanum. After washing, don't waste it, wear something revealing."
Extra Information:
Ingredients: Vanilla Pod Infusion (Vanilla planifolia), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Glycerine, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Vanilla Extract (Vanilla planifolia), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Jasmine Absolute (Jasminum officinale), Labdanum Resinoid (Cistus labdanum), Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Lush has been selling products on the high street since 1991 and they are proud to be a environmentally friendly company. They are a British company based in Dorset. All their items are hand made and they use as little packaging as possible to save on waste.
Conclusion:
Well I do not think I would buy this product ever again. The main facts are that for the price I don't think it is that special. It doesn't soap up as much as I would like and compared to other shower gels/soaps I would normally get a lot more bubbles with using them.
The smell is not even there, which really surprised me as all the Lush products I have tried so far are really fragrant and strong with it.
It does leave your whole body feeling nice and soft but I think there are better products that smell nicer, are cheaper and make your skin just as soft.
I would give this product 3/10. The three marks are because it does soften but the minus marks are for everything else.
I hope this is of some help to you.
Thanks for reading.
