Good Points: No good points.
Bad Points: $15 a month maintenance fee in addition to all of the charges on the start up
General comments: There is nothing positive about this card from Continental Finance. I am currently paying $15 in maintenance fees and I am working super hard to get this paid off and closed. I had the card for about 2 years, last month was notified about a credit limit increase, then I was charged $50 for a credit line increase. I contacted them which is hard to do and cancelled the increase (can you imagine being charged to raise your credit limit)

Continental Finance is to slow in processing payments. Seven days to process a check after they receive it. So, at times I've received late fee's which I had to fight with customer service by telling them to tell me when they received my payment. The finance charges are high, any mistake and the late fee's add up fast and can put in in a hole fast.

I was charged about $20 each month in maintenance fees, minimum payment is $50 a month, you are charged $5 each time you make a payment, the payment takes up to 7 days to post to your account and once you activate the card only $56 is available to you when you are automatically charged for the full $300 limit which looks bad on your credit.
The customer service can sometimes be rude and sounds as if they are reading the same thing over and over again off a sheet of paper instead of listening to ...

I have had the Continental Finance Credit card for a year. I have just paid off my balance and will let this card sit in the drawer. A better card to choose if you have bad credit will be the Orchard Bank Card with HSBC. The interest rates are better and you may not get a monthly maintenance fee.

I got approved for 300$ limit I used 40$ of it and paid my first payment in full, I get my next statement and i owe 400$ each month it goes up even more an they say they did not get my payment even after the fact that I sent them bank statements proving the payment....long story short they closed my account in nov 07 and I am still getting 30 day late marks on my credit report. If you are like me and trying to build your credit this is not the company I would recommend.

Continental Finance raised the monthly payments. You never have your account updated accurately. Maybe 10 days before you get your next bill you will finally be credited your payment. It is a pain. They won't allow me to cancel my card until it is paid in full but it is never paid in full because they never credit my account until I have another monthly fee!

I have been with CONTINENTAL FINANCE for going on a year. Until i reported my card lost thing's were fine. Then i reported it lost and all hell went wrong. It took 3 month's to get a replacement card, when it did arrive I had already reported that card missing, so they sent me another. When that one arrived i couldn't access it to activate because it wasn't and still not in the system. I have been calling, all i get is a recording, sending letter's but have not received a response fro either. I ...

I would not recommend Continental Finance to anyone; not even someone whom is trying to rebuild their credit. Customer service with this company is very poor - I have tried calling several times, however, you cannot get through. I intend to cancel this card with this company.

I have mixed feelings about the Continental Finance Credit Card. Some days it's good and some day it's just a pain in the ass. I've been good with payment, but the payment that I made takes a while to get posted to my cards and in that case I would have to wait 7 days before i can get my available balance. This is why I check my balance online all the time to make sure I at least have some money on the card before I went out and used it. Customer service is impossible to get through, but I have ...

I heard all the bad reviews from this credit card and so I cancelled the application and still got a bill for a $250 application fee for a $300 credit card! For bad credit Orchard Bank is the way to go!

I had this card for about a year and four months. I started with a credit limit of about $300 and ended with a limit of $700. This company is what it is, and IMHO they are selling you a "Tradeline", only you can determine if it will a positive one or a negative one. In my case, I paid the high fees and put up with lack of customer service, the low credit limits until my score improved. I proved so that I could do better. When I started getting better cards I dumped this card. So keep in min ...

I really don't have anything good to say about the Continental Finance Credit Card.
I've had them now for 6 months, I have never been late with payments, never gone over the limit and I just called for a payoff balance.
I wouldn't suggest this card to anyone.
In my opinion, useless online access, fees for making payment over the phone AND internet (remember mailing a payment or having it sent from your bank will take an additional one week to post after they have received it)

I have had a horrible experience so far with this company, I got approved for this supposed Un-Secured credit card only to discover fees over 250.00 dollars as soon as I received it, then when I called to activate the card, the "Customer Service" rep immediately asked for a payment. I decided I would just pay the card in full so I would have the 300.00 dollars credit..Big mistake
They charged me an 8.95 processing fee to take the payment, and the payment didn't post for 8 days.. My account didn ...

I refused to activate my card and canceled it. Continental Finance sent me an email saying that they had closed out my account and that I owed them nothing since the card was not activated...thank God I kept the email! Two weeks later I received a bill saying that I owed them 100 dollars (two payments). Then the phone calls started and have not stopped, two months later. Now I am getting late fees and over draft charges on a card that I CANCELLED AND NEVER USED!!! I finally called the numbe ...

I have had the Continental Finance card for two months. Since then, I have made two payments. The first one went through with no problem. I did it bill pay through my bank. It was a week early. My available credit reflected the payment immediately. This last payment though it was a totally different story. I received a bill stating that payment was due on the 31st. Beginning two weeks before billing date I began receiving relentless phone calls and emails claiming to be courtesy reminders of the ...

BEWARE OF THIS CARD....... I closed my account and paid what I was told was the payoff amount..... a month later I received a bill. I called customer service 2 times in one day and each time spoke to a rude, unprofessional person. I was told 2 different lies as to why my account is not paid in full. And I was told completely different dollar amounts. Paper bill $60.90, 1st rep $120.00, 2nd rep $71.20 . Again I Repeat....account is closed and paid in full.......and still receiving bills.. ...

Where to begin? I have had nothing but trouble with this card. The online pay feature does not work. They refused to take my Visa Debit as payment over the phone. I could not reach them through their 0800 numbers. I finally reported the card lost and then called them directly at 1 302 456 1930. I did get a representative on the phone quickly. Told her that it took me 3 hours to make a card payment and that was ridiculous. Paid in full and closed the account. A FICO score of 850 isn't worth the h ...

I've had this card for over a year now. I haven't had any issues with it. I receive credit limit increases about every fourth month. After the first year the card was upgraded to "gold" with an additional credit increase free of charge. I started at $300 initial credit and now I am close to a $1000 limit.
After my bankruptcy was discharged 3 1/2 years ago, not too many banks were in line to extend credit to me. I received an offer form continental finance and went with it. I haven't had ...
