We stayed at the Skye Silverdale Guest House in Skinidin on our way to the Isle of Lewis, as the House Over-by (the rooms attached to the top class Three Chimneys restaurant) was full. The B&B is a 5 minute walk from the restaurant, with stunning views over the bay. We could not have had a more friendly welcome (from the dogs as well as the owners). The bed was the most comfortable I've had in a B&B, with proper feather pillows and duvet. The breakfast was incredibly good, and we were given a parting gift of homemade shortbread.
At the time it was £60 a night for the room, which was an absolute bargain for a 5 star welcome.
